Here are some tips on how to get ascendent mats quickly: 1) Do the daily on level 28 on all your characters. You will always get 2 shards, or energy from it. Do that on 3 characters and you could be 6 shards richer 2) Burn your vanguard and crucible marks. I got 21 shards from burning 150 vanguard and 200 crucible marks (buy chests, boots, or gloves and dismantle them. You will get 2-3 shards each time) 3) Do the nightfall. You can get anywhere from 5-12 shards (plus some legendary and exotic gear!) 4) Do public events. Though rare, you can get shards or energy from it, and when you finish your first one for the day you can get a shard or energy 5) Do the raid. Even if its just cheesing the oracles and pushing the templar. You can get 12 shards from those 2 if your lucky (Note: this is on hardmode if you didn't do normal already. You could get 3 shards as a drop from normal and 3 from hard, thats 6 for the oracles and you can then get 6 more the same way with the templar) Hope this helped
