So I think we can all agree that the Hunters who carry hand cannons around the tower on their hip are the coolest. My Venation III, Thorn, Timur's Lash, all sit on my hip. So, why is the Last Word, the ultimate hip fire, dueling gun, being carried on my back like an auto rifle? Is this a bug?
-
Because it's bigger than other hand cannons
-
All characters should have a hand cannon on their hip.

Edited by Reap200: 11/28/2014 7:00:09 AMits on your back as a hunter so you grab the barrel, and HAVE to do some gunspinning, if it wasnt on your back you would have no reason to
seriously though, grabbing the barrel of a pistol you cant see, seems just slightly more dangerous than necessary
I was wondering the same. After some thought though it might be a bit too big for the side of my hip. Maybe have it positioned on the back of my waist? Might be a more asthetically pleasing look and actually looks like I can reach the damn thing instead of trying to stretch my guardians flexibility to the limit in the midst of combat. =P

I tend to chalk things like this up to the remarkable lack of polish in the game. Its not really a bug, just a bit of inconsistency that apparently wasn't important enough to fix.
-
Put this shit on my hip I wanna be a cowboy not some pansy ass afraid to show off his piece
-
As a fellow Hunter I can not agree more. Please Bungie, fix this bug! It is too silly just floating on my back over my cape!
-
hopefully they fix that, when I finally got TLW I was like "omg my hunter is gunna be so kewl now" then I saw it on my cape and was like "WTFreak?" bump BUNGIE PLEASE FIX QQ
-
It's probably because it's massive and it'd be hard to walk with that thing hanging down your leg (innuendo intended)
-
Hawkmoon sits very nicely on my hip.
-
It has to be a bug. The Thorn is about the same size if not bigger and that thing goes on the hip. Yes it is definitely disappointing to see such a magnificent gun get plastered onto your cloak..
-
-
I think the model should be shrunk just enough to fit on the hip. This is my only real complaint about this gun. I'd like a better range on it, but that would make it OP for sure.
-
This gun needs to be on the hip. THATS THE POINT OF A WESTERN STYLE REVOLVER. It must be a bug
-
Totally agree! Needs to be on the hip or on the leg at least! Cowboy cannon has to be on the hip!
-
This was, hands down, my greatest disappointment after I bought TLW.
-
Its like it has velcro on it. Pistol looks idiotic just hanging off the back like it does. Oddly enough, I can still manage to sleep at night.
-
Bungie please put this on the hip. It has hip fire damage/stability perks for goodness sakes! It looks like a damn banana on my back.
-
Seriously. Let's put this on the hip like all the other hand cannons. It looks dumb with a cape.
-
It's meant to be like that. It's special to The Last Word.
-
I think TLW is the only hand cannon that NEEDS to be on your leg. It's a old western style pistol that specializes in hip fire yet it's on your back.
-
Why does this topic keep coming up so much?
-
If you look at the size id estimate that the gun is about a foot and a half in length. That's a pretty large weapon for an ordinary revolver. It may be too large and bulky for the hip.
-
The famous Last Word looks like a toy Cowboy gun on your back, I agree it doesn't make sense especially for hunters, makes them seem retarded.
-
I think its a size thing, although ive never had trouble carrying something big near my legs. Eh!? Eh!?
-
Why has nobody questioned the fact you can't even reach The Last Word in its current position?
