Let's keep the Fatebringer talk down here. Don't want anyone to know how ridiculously good this gun is. You can fire from the hip and not hit headshots and still kill with ease. Firefly and Explosive Rounds with a 12 round mag is a wrecking ball in PvE.

Don't the Explosive rounds replace a portion of the immediate damage to area. And does that area damage affect the immediate target? Or is the area damage it creates only for surrounding enemies?

It actually increases damage. Hurts the main target a little bit less for initial impact, but the explosion hurts hit after the impact and collectively does more if you didnt have it. Unfortunately the explosion happens after the initial impact and can steal your precision kills. So I use field scout so I can have the perks work.

It effects all surrounding enemies. The explosive rounds are just helpful to always deal good damage on one enemy mainly the Firefly is amazing with a grouping of enemies.

Precisely why I didn't mention that's the gun I was using in the op. It would dominate discussion after that lol
