Please, ALL OF YOU, Stop trying to capture all 3 flags if you're not in a fireteam of 6.
When I'm with my Fireteam, we can capture all 3 flags and earn a crapton of XP (about 325 per kill) because of domination.
Now even though that's a nice thing to aim for ...
IT'S NOT THE GOAL
The goal is control. COntrol means to control the enemy team. Keeping them on their one flag. We get too close, we don't control.
Whenever I go solo I see all of you, ALL OF YOU, go for the third flag like it's the holyland. Please, unless you and your friends are coordinated and playing together, don't go for the third flag. Please.
Seriously, PLEASE.
In fact if you guys want a tip for solo , chill back at the furthest flag, theres always someone trying to sneak around to take it. Steady points.
-
You got the goal wrong. Seriously, THE GOAL IS TO PUNCH 10 PEOPLE, KILL 10 WITHOUT DYING, AND GETTING MACHINE GUN HEADSHOTS
-
CTF could be fun. :)
-
I have read this a few times es have change my play style thxs
-
-
If you have 3 flags enemies will leave and you are crushing them and show no mercy. Other wise they can make a comeback
-
Would add that guarding a zone doesn't mean standing in it, but covering the entrances to it.
-
THANKYOU, finally someone understands!!!
-
Screw that... Leroy Jenkins that last flag!
-
Bump because education is for the destiny community.

Edited by rnm7024: 11/22/2014 10:48:15 PMErm...actually a good team can win a match by holding down only 1 flag and defending it with few team deaths, I've done this with a team of randoms. Behold a recent game - I late joined and went on a streak, my team were winning, we held 2 flags for the entire last minute and still lost. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viIx2VzPZuQ]

THANK YOU!!!! If we own Alpha and Bravo, why the HELL are we abandoning both to capture C? Please, please....please.... if you know how to play Control, please.... add me. Roughly 16 games now and only three wins.... NINE-1-6 PS4

Good thread. Noobs listen up.
-
Bump, because reasons.
-
If your squad is good enough grab all the flags watch how fast the score will climb. I agree with you thou when you have 2 flags and teamates rushing for the third flag and dying over and over.
-
Your so dumb. In control, the point of the game is to as explained " Control the Flags "! Not to sit there having possession only over 1-2 flags. In fact, I rarely even capture the damn flags because its so easy to get easy kills if your good. I go around with my Suros Regime and get like 27-35 kills per game aka 5-7k points for the team. You can't gain that by sitting there being a lame camper. Your no fun kid
-
Thank you for this post. I've been annoyed for a while about it. But it is nice to send 1 guy to the enemy flag for a distraction by neutralizing it
-
Why is flag B always the "hot zone"? Every map it seems flag b is the real battleground.
-
I know that feel :D most of the control maps are totally unbalanced and ita hard to get the important flags. After a hard fight to get them and take the controls some lvl25 idiot goes to save the world and take the bad spot again. It's so annoying. To all of you who didn't played much pvp yet, don't try to go into random IB. It's so idiotic if you lose match after match with personally 4000+ points. Learn in the crucible and then get over to ib
-
That, or they all fight for B likes it's their ticket to losing the V-Card.

Edited by AntonWintercold: 11/22/2014 11:22:09 AMYeah, every single time someone captures A point and all goes to hell o_O Or C on FirebaseDelphi

I like when they apply this, but they pick the two that are the farthest away from each other. So instead of teams of two with two semi drifters in between, there is a country mile between the two controlled points.
-
Being "that guy" I took your advice and started applying it last night. My girlfriend is a long time COD player and just watched me play four IB matches where I seemed to be the only one who applied this logic. She was very amused. My frustration was so bad tonight I had to take a break and revisit this post...
In fact if you guys want a tip for solo , chill back at the furthest flag, theres always someone trying to sneak around to take it. Steady points.
that's what i do and yet there's always one doofus in my team trying to melee me like i shouldn't be here

Edited by Darkone: 11/21/2014 10:48:00 AMScrew dat, the third flag is mine! You just need to git gud if you can't control the enemies spawning everywhere, i'll be teabagging the third flagstand thingy. Good luck.

Edited by bopbarker: 11/22/2014 6:46:14 AMSometimes when you respawn it puts you next to the third one you don't have. I'm gonna take it since I'm already there. I usually run between two points in an ideal situation though based on radar activity, don't get me wrong.
