So how much of this is actually factual? Considering we're now much closer to the DLC. I hope that auto rifle is legit because it sounds all kinds of awesome.

It is, a lot of stuff in Destinydb is legit. Like items or armor, I even found out about the Tumbler sparrow before it was announced that way. Although, things like text talking about raids and what's in them I do not believe, as Destinydb can only find items and gear.
