I don't think anyone on this thread seems to realize that they changed the level of new Iron Banner armor because people at level 30 didn't have a reason to work toward the event rewards. That would be why the old armor stopped at 27 Light Points (LPs) and the new stuff makes it to 30 LPs.
I know this because 1) I paid attention to the weekly updates and 2) I have the gauntlets from the last Iron Banner and have examined the ones being sold. The LPs are the only difference. When the helmet and chest piece come around, they will make it to 30 LPs.

Also they had said that Iron banner would have two pieces of armor and two weapons RNG drawn each time it runs. It won't be so bad once IB gets into regular rotation, but the retooling between v1 and v2 took a while and left people feeling the loss of something to do.

Yeh the Iron Banner armour has lower intellect and discipline points than the raid armour. The perks arent great either because raid boots on my hunter give me more heavy but the Iron Banner gives me more of stuff I never run out of like scout rifle ammo. It says level 30 but the only good thing about the gear really is that it looks good.

I honestly prefer the IB greaves because t gives me more AR ammo, I'm always running out in the raid...

The boots are ok if you have another piece that gives extra heavy. As a hunter I think the only piece that gives me that is the Lucky Raspberry and Bladedancer is pointless in the raid so it's always gotta be Achylophage Symbiote with 4 gg shots. Heavy takes priority in the raid for downing minotaurs/praetorians and Atheon fast. Also the raid gear giving higher stats for intellect and discipline is important.
