Exotic Weapon Nerfs?
If you are detecting a nerf to your exotic weapons, the change is unintentional.
Please report all issues in this thread. Thank you, and sorry for the frustration this will cause.

4 RepliesI clearly remember thorn doing 7 for each damage over time tick and he wrote from 5 down to 3 in the last update. Have i missed another nerf or was it just cuz my thorn was fully upgraded?

Edited by jenmc14: 11/21/2014 10:33:11 AMDeej your most recent update news post says Thorn's DOT was reduced from 5 to 3 in crucible. This is incorrect. Thorn's DOT was 7 before the update. The DOT was reduced in PVE too, by almost half. This is my favorite weapon. Thanks.

Have to die for it to work again. I just got it yeasterday and used it in couple games. It happened three times for me and twice for my friend. My friend has been experiencing this ever since the latest update. Everyone knows that without autofire, pocket infinity is useless.

4 RepliesRate of Fire /good Impact / needs a boost Range / needs a small boost stability /alright Reload / String Of Curses should be a super fast reload and it recharges ammo fast in the magazine also the magazine needs a clip boost, im guess 25 to 30 bullets and it lowers ur Impact when added more bullets or you could leave it but more bullets and faster reload is needed

People seem to be accusing bungie of nerfing random weapons that didn't need it. This may be true that it was bungie who made these nerfs, but I suspect it was an accident to release the nerfs because they probably weren't finished yet. Just a thought

Praetorian's Foil faster bullet velocity perk was replaced with perfect balance or something like that please change it back.

I was playing after the new patch and it seemed that Gjalarhorn was doing less damage, both the explosion and the wolfpack. Anyone else experience this?

86 RepliesDeeJ, I've been trying to support Bungie, I've tried to be positive, and tried to be constructive. I have even started several posts in attempts to show support for the voice chat addition and to thank Bungie for responding to our concerns. I went out on a limb to try and rally community support for you all despite your collective mis-handling of this game, and now this? This is what the fans get? More half baked tweaks, "patches" that fix problems that don't exist while in turn creating more problems in their own right, and the never ending oppression of the NERF HAMMER. YOU HAVE STEPPED IN SHIT AGAIN, and this time there is NO WAY OUT that will save you face. Either the development team is incompetent and unable to release a simple patch without mucking it up, or YOU are lying to us and the development team intentionally nerfed the guns in question. EITHER YOU ARE A INCOMPETENT OR A LAIR! Those are the only two plausible choices. Neither looks good. SO FIX THIS NOW. Not in a week, not in a few days, fix it NOW. There has been talk of buffing the mythoclast for weeks (I don't even have one and I want to see it restored) to no avail. I know very little about computer programming and even I know this is a quick fix for only one or two employees. Gun damage is simply a data value. You can change a relatively short series of values in the line of code and POOF, the gun is buffed. This is not a bug that needs to be troubleshot, researched and tested. Its a data value that you selected to change once already. It would literally take a competent programmer one hour tops to adjust the data values in the item code. Perhaps a bit longer to prep a patch for launch, but this IS the sort of thing the development team is used to doing an is in fact set up to do. IF you really wanted to, it is possible to buff the mythoclast AND re adjust the other exotics back to their previous level before the end of the work day TODAY. You have the technology, manpower, and skill. What you don't have is any intention of actually doing this, something which is blatantly apparent to all of us players. And, IF you did do this on purpose and had good reason, BE HONEST and tell us why. Don't lie to us, we're smart enough to know the difference.

Make it worth my while-and while you're at it, let me wear and arm my exotics while I senselessly grind for gear that just ends up being sharded. I understand omitting multiple exotics in the PVP, but we who hate PVP still suffered PVP to earn what we did. Let us use it to our fullest benefit.

I understand the coding is difficult and takes time, and you have to deal with a lot of negatives feedback from people. That said, I think two things that could help improve the game are in game message at the post master to keep us up to speed on fixes and improvements, and this following on you've definitely heard before but matchmaking for the raids. Keep up the work .

You broke my heart, thorn is no the way it use to be... thorn promised a buff, but brought me a nerf... so I used the Suros Regime because I want it to feel good, but if felt so wrong... I played so hard for this thorn... so hard. Sorry for the sad story.

Specially if developers listen to run of the mill crybabies from most games. It really ruins the game for those enjoying it and playing solo. EDIT: Seems they fixed it. Doing about same damage as b4 the patch now.

My icebreaker is finally doing the exploding perk. I haven't had any issues with any of my exotics. I do have a question for anyone who has the calling (future war cult) scout rifle. Mine seems to be making less damage than it did last week (it's fully upgraded). Am I imagining it or has anyone else seen this. I have noticed this in PVE mostly.
