THORN NERFED? WHY YOU PROMISED BUFF?
Thorn has been nerfed secretly by bungie and they did not post anything in the patch notes. You promise a buff to it and then nerf it without telling us. I Suppose its some sort of code error you guys mityped or something? My lingering damage no longer does 7 damage, but 3. so now its a useless perk and has no chance of being better than any legendary hand cannon. What the hell are you guys thinking over there at bungie. Im sure once people start finding out their Thorns are no longer postmortem'n their targets there will be plenty of outrages. Seriously bungie don't promise a buff and then nerf it behind our damn backs. its absolutely stupid you would do this and NOT TELL US. Deej wth are you doing over there. Fix this because now im better off using some legendary than the exotic I worked hard for. THANKS
***EDIT*** According to Deej this was not suppose to happen and he is looking into it. Hope this is true and get fixed asap, but yal are welcome to continue your rage as I did. Very disappointed when I used it. Keep an eye out for the fix

Deej did mention it, but he said the DOT used to be 5 NOT 7 so if they fix it, it will just be 5. Still useless

Last Word has what Thorn needs, faster reload and better impact rating. I'm not sure if it needs a higher clip size if they plan on buffing the DoT or if they plan on keeping the 7 ticks per second and just increasing Thorns overall damage. At least the current Thorn nerf was unintentional. I liked using it for PvP, good for getting the Postmortem bounty too, but now it's just trash, I just couldn't get the 3 damage per tick to work with anything.

I'm a lv 29 warlock and while doing a lv 24 strike it was not a one hit kill with a critical so its in my vault never to see day again

And they promised a buff for Bad JuJu at the begining of the game after people got it but still hasn't came out so you're going to be waiting a long time for the rebuff

WTH is wrong with Bungie they really do not have their act together. Whoever is in charge of these patches and making these changes and decisions needs to be fired immediately as he/she is alienating your customers and making huge mistakes. Developers are a dime a dozen and this individual that is making the final decisions is incompenant and I would have pink slipped them if they worked for me. Now back on topic, the Devouring effect is useless now on top of that it needs a buff to increase clip from 6 to 8 or 9 and double reload speed. As it stands now Thorn is useless like Mythoclast......You are souring me on this game and the memories I will have when all your DUST settles will no doubt keep me from purchasing your next game. Good Job Bungie......slow claps.

4 RepliesOne month ago an advanced player posted a 26 kill streak using thorn as a hunter. Whoever was playing had serious gaming skills. 46-3 in one crucible match is an accomplishment against any lvl players. Thorn was reduced below legendary. I've gotten 89 hit pts for a head shot and bleeding 3's. Invective shotgun isn't as good as it was either. I think the bountie weapons should be higher than the equivalent bought weapons. Ex thorn vs lord high fixer/ tlw etc. if u only have 6 rounds and the slowest reload. The impact should be best. If u got the vex mythoclast. Hats off to u. You earned it. If it's the hardest part of the game to complete. It should be the greatest perk. Same with thorn, invective, bad juju, and the rest of exotic bounties. I think invested time in th vog strike, or exotic bounty is tougher than farming some strange coins. Ranking up your faction, or crucible are time consuming too. I don't mind getting wasted by an advanced player with the vex, or 77 wizard. It makes me want to complete the vog in hard to equalize them. It's more frustrating to get 1 shot wacked by a lvl 20 with a rare shotgun, but it happens all the time. While thorn is a boat anchor. I really feel 4 the guardians that spent 25 game hours plus organizing and scheduling a team to get through the vog on hard just to lose 1/3 of the damage.

The thorn used to be my go to weapon for the crucible, now I don't bother with it at all.

I'm still holding strong on the thorn. It was nerfed, and is insane to try to use against CoD kids running around with the suros, especially on IB. But i will try to keep this dream alive. This things been my baby for so long, i can't put her away just because of some sour horse shit. The thorn will make a come back, i really think it will

We are going to show Bungie that they can nerf it all they want and we are still going to use it! They don't tell us what we use! Only we dictate what gun we will dominate with! This pissed me off but I still kicked ass with my thorn. Been using it since the second week of Destiny an i plan on using it for much longer than that. Miss the poison damage if 7 badly though.

At least it was an accident. Kinda sucks with iron banner and all. Thorn is my only exotic and has the highest attack out of all of my weapons, but it still doesn't work very well.
