Please can we go prone...
Hey people of Destiny,
I just thought about why "proning" isn't in the game. It's not game breaking and would kind of be beneficial. PvP would have a new dynamic to it and it could balance out high RoF guns *cough* super good advice *cough*
It would increase stability for high recoil guns making them "somewhat" viable. It would not be a copy and paste of CoD prone. No drop shotting and all that BS but you get the idea.

It would be nearly impossible to incorporate into the game at this point. A lot of game mechanics and logic would have to be rewritten. Not worth the time on bungies end.

It also make the bipod on scout rifles have a purpose. Not sure why the bipod is even on them lol. Btw I totally agree

Honestly, prone is overrated, and causes more problems than it's worth.

A true warrior is always on their feet, always ready for action. Guardians are not sneaks. Even when we attack from afar the enemy sees us coming, lying down is impractical. Take the Traveler's Sword upon thyself, and lust for the call to glory.

People will drop shot. The only way to prevent them from doing so is to make going prone have a lengthy animation, in which case no one will use it for anything but camping hardscoped on a door with a Sniper Rifle. There's no point to being able to go prone in this game. It doesn't fit at all.

i play battlefield and i actually would love to be able to drop shot they need to steal that from COD instead of all the shit gadgets they keep adding in

1 ReplyThe only area that I would ever go prone in would be in PvE, and that's just because I like observing the fights between the different races. Especially when it comes to the Fallen v. the Hive.
