The MUTE button is a one way mute. If you mute a user, their posts will not be visible on your account. Users do not receive notifications if they are muted. They will still be able to see YOUR posts unless they also have you muted.

I believe that is against the law. It is at least in the Netherlands. Privavy law dictates informationflows should be equal. All information asked should be given. So if one would decide to stop the informationflow, that should stop on both ends. Point for the legal team to look at?

Well that's not a very good feature. It seems to me if you feel strongly enough about cutting off communication that you hit the mute button, it should silence it on both ends. Thanks for the information.
