The raid isn't your not wrong. But you should still have the ability to have 6 player fireteam. Without having a matchmaking it does hurt the experience. I hate looking for hours just to get a team of people I don't know. So its like the same thing. Though it happens fewer I have that problem. I do know people struggle with it and gets turned off by it.

If they're going to put matchmaking in they'll have to take a page out of the Blizzard manual for raiding. Blizzard did this with World of Warcraft and implemented public matchmaking. However, the publicly matched raids were significantly decreased in difficulty and the rewards were all of a lesser quality. Furthermore there would be many problems with the players personally. There's always going to be players who lack skill, players looking for free rides or players just looking to troll and grief. These are the biggest considerations with raiding in public groups. The other player issue would be communication. Raids require each raider to do their part and communicate accordingly if they cannot. But I think we all know how many silent players are out there. So really it boils down to the competence of the players, whether they can handle random matchmaking or not.
