So I was reminiscing about past games I've played and I thought about Hellgate London and how that game had some good hype for the day but ended up with a flop. Much like Too Human... However I thought I'd look up some information really quick to jog my memory and realized how similar the game is to Destiny. Hellgate London had 3 classes to choose from, each with 2 sub-classes: [b]Templars[/b] - Guardians - Blademasters [b]Cabalists[/b] - Summoners - Evokers [b]Hunters[/b] - Marksmen - Engineers Destiny has 3 classes to choose from, each with 2 sub-classes: [b]Titans[/b] - Striker - Defender [b]Warlocks[/b] - Voidwalker - Sunsinger [b]Hunters[/b] - Gunslinger - Bladedancer In each game, all weapons basically had the same type of stats and the equipment pieces had their defense and strength stats. Weapons in Hellgate also had 5 different types of damage, where in Destiny you've only got 4 (Arc, Solar, Void, Kinetic) However it looked like Hellgate London had a better environment system as all the zones were randomly generated. Also their armor was a bit similar to Destiny's. Especially the Templar to Titan looks. Then you've got the Hunters, which in my opinion look way more awesome. And of course they fight, Darkness! But what game doesn't these days? I guess my point is...it's just pretty similar and it's too bad we don't see more original things. I guess I'm just getting older and nothing is shocking me anymore. But companies don't care about the older generation, they want those kiddies to get hooked. Meh...
