Its honestly fine the way it is. In most traditional MMO you could raid for weeks before getting a piece of gear, especially in a guild that uses DKP.

  • In a well designed dkp system you are guaranteed gear eventually. You might not get an actual drop this week but it helps you get the drop this week. You also don't have people getting drops they don't need only to vendor them, while someone else in the raid can actually use the item.

  • I have to disagree. If we are pairing other MMO raids to Destiny, though you may not get all the armor right away, the drops you get are still worth playing. Several of these MMOS also let you do the raid fresh once a day, as many times as you want, and so on. The non-gear items from these raids could be sold on a marketplace for gold which would allow you to purchase gear that was just as good or close to being as good as the raid gear you were hoping to get. In short, raids in other MMOs are good enough that even f you don't get the gear you want, you still get something worthwhile and you have fun while doing it. Destiny does none of this.

In WOW armor sets were very quickly dropped as they were guaranteed drops And as for dkp, the more you raid the quicker you got things I was in a top 20 guild and was pretty decked out within a month of a instance releasing. Definitely had all armor pieces withinh the first few weeks

  • I have been raiding for weeks, with all three classes sitting on lv29.

  • Destiny is not an MMO, though.

  • True. It just has some of the characteristics of an MMO.
