Destiny will be popular, but not special
Face it,Destiny doesn't have "it", whilst being a good game, it lacks that certain quality that makes games like Halo, Mass Effect, Portal and many others stay in the memory for many years. Destiny will not be played religiously over half a decade from release like Halo 3 is, or like how Marathon still draws thousands after all this time, Destiny is not the new high point for Bungie, it's the core element that will allow them to rebuild and become the company they once were.
Hopefully Destiny will succeed, because that means a new Marathon, and that will heal Bungie and finally cast a bit of love The Flood's way. So, essentially Marathon>>>>>>>>>>>>Destiny

3 Repliesi love seeing quotes like : [quote]it lacks that certain quality that makes games like Halo[/quote] yea cuz halo was so in depth. it has a 1 play through campaign and a basic multiplayer? destiny has everything halo has plus more: progression ,weapons, armor, customization, etc. plus regardless if you like it or not the heroic and nightfall and raid is refreshable each week for chances to obtain rare loot. you can say its repetitive but thats how every mmo/arpg style game work. you grind areas of the game over and over for loot upgrades. halo lets you sign in and go into pvp and thats it.
