You must've missed the news when swatting was big a few months ago. Swatting someone is illegal in several ways. They caught a 15 year old for doing it, charged him with domestic terrorism, and gave him 25 to life for it. Still think it's funny? You would do it for laughs? You do realize the severity of this issue right? This isn't just your typical local PD, it is a SWAT team. It is a team that busts through the door looking for something they were reported on happening. That said, should they bust through someones house without them knowing, said person might end up thinking it is a robbery or something and jump up to attack, thus possibly being shot and killed. Swatting is not something that is funny. SWAT is not there for your amusement, they are there for serious issues and safety. Grow up.

Even if you were crazy enough to want to murder the CEO of a company because one of their products didn't meet your expectations, that person was unlikely the only one in the house. There could have been kids inside too young to walk for all you know, and I doubt you would want anything to happen to them.

Humans make mistakes, that goes for everyone. People have died because of this before, the risk is there, the Swat team were armed and were prepared for a threat, if they acted on impulse to something that was never a threat to begin with they could have seriously harmed or killed someone.

No we have Armed Response Teams which amount to the same thing and when the situation is too tough for them we have the SAS and we all know that they dont take prisoners.

Same here in Canada. The only threat there was that SWAT team. What a bunch of testosterone-driven apes with guns. Americans don't seem to realize that every other nations looks at them and are shaking their heads.

Did they shoot anyone? No? So they appropriately assessed the risks of the situation that presented itself? Sounds good enough to me. They went in there on the Intel that if they didn't, people were going to die.
