I have been thinking of a great idea. Similar to that in Diablo 3. Why can't there be a vendor in the tower that, for motes of light or strange coins, can transform your gears visual to any hear you have had in the past? It will still hold all of its properties but you could switch its appearance. I myself find that a lot of the lower class gear looks somewhat better than the legendary. I wish I could wear firebreak on my Titan but it has no light lol. Anyone else find themselves in this predicament? We could have a library of all the gear per class that we have found or bought. For a select number of any given upgrade material, whichever that may be, we could pick our assigned gear and have it reformed to the visual of our choice while still keeping our original stats for the item.
