I remember the days when you bought a game full price it was a full game , and when an expansion was released it actually added tremendously to the amount of content of the original game.
yes , we play Destiny , yes we love it , but lets face it ... it is -blam!-ing lacking in all major departments, it's just the looting that's keeping it alive this far , and even that is because of the weird RNG system in place.

It may be that gaming has become a victim of its own success. GTA5 made $800 million in the first 24 hours it was on sale worldwide. That's more than even the biggest hollywood film. Potentially that's a huge market for a hack corporation to rip into and exploit. In the past the industry had to produce substantial stuff gamers actually craved because there were no gimps they could sell generic boring crap to.
