It's not the shotguns that's the problem, take a look at the special ammo spawn time....

I never said the shotguns were a problem at all, I simply stated that all these cramped quarters maps make the shotgun the obvious choice 90% of the time.

If they cut special ammo spawn times, only real shotty you will see is invective

yes, but then you face the problems of weapons such as the invective and universal remote being the power houses of pvp, and for the larger maps, the ice breaker.

I am aware of how awesome it is, I regret not buying it when i had the chance lol, but my point is, reducing the rate of special ammo drops makes the weapons that regenerate ammo infinitely more powerful in PvP, And the special weapons that use primary ammo such as the Vex Mythoclast and Universal Remote also inherently become more powerful because near as I can tell you always spawn with some amount of primary ammo in PvP, even if you never pick up special ammo crates (which also drop primary ammo in case you didn't know)
