How Hunters are amazing in VoG
Makes me sick to see people kicking hunters out of VoG groups because they are "useless". I am going to prove them wrong. Here is how they are amazing in VoG
1. Destroying oracles fast: Got three oracles you need to destroy in less then 5 seconds or else your team die? Not a problem for a gunslinger. They can one shot those oracles
2. Great relic holders: Hunters are best fitted for the relic. They are very fast and quick. The whole team spread out and you need to cleanse them? Not a problem for the Hunter. They are also really good for in the teleporter for Atheon.
3. Clearing out enemies: Got a bunch of supplicants swarming your team on atheon? Get gunslinger and Time Vengeances and you can take out all those supplicants out. Need to help out clear enemies with the shield guy in the teleporter? Not a problem.
Now you know how they are amazing in VoG. What are they are not good out?
1. Cheesing
I laugh at the people who say hunters are useless in VoG. They are the people who want to do it the easy way by cheesing the bosses. I just want to say you guys that think so are pathetic and just so sad.
Well that is it. What you guys think? For those Hunters that do VoG, you guys are the real MVP.
Edit: Thanks for all of the responses and glad to see that many people feel the same way. It is not the class that makes the group succeed, it is the person that is holding the controller. This whole Hunter Discrimination needs to stop.

A few days ago or sometime last week (awful memory) me and 4 other blade dancing hunters (yes, that's 5 out of 6 players) did the raid with just one person dying once. It was great.

Hunters can cheese Atheon and the Templar as well, aside from being the Relic person. Showstopper and Blades Edge also have a push to it. The grenades that cause an explosion? Works to push, just hard to aim. But aside from cheese, the GG is extremely powerful against enemies and the invisibility is perfect for reviving. Let alone Atheon during the Times Vengeance

53 Replies1. Golden Gun doesn't one-shot oracles in hard mode 2. It doesn't matter what class you are, all classes have the same skills with the relic- hunters are just a smaller target 3. Why would you be shooting supplicants during Time's Vengeance?

Either way vog is easy without self revive and bubble. Only groups that those matter in are cheese groups. VOG IS SIMPLE easy or hard so all you saying hunters are not good for VOG need to nut up and learn how to play.

I have 3 level 30 characters. I can do every role 100% with my hunter. Other classes are limited to certain jobs. Punter is the best for raid unless you are a cheater or some bitch with bad guns who can't kill the things around you quick enough. Bubble is for people who are slow and weak and need a few seconds to take a break. Warlock is for noobs who die or want to push the bosses off. Hunter is the best for good players. Titan and warlocks are for scrubs who are a little slow and can't keep up with hunters.

Destroying oracles- Anyone with a gun that does bonus damage to them(which should be just about everyone at this point) has no trouble killing them. Relic- Id much rather the relic holder be able to take more damage without dying and dropping it than run around faster. Killing enemies- Scout rifles can two shot supplicants....why would a team need a hunter to waste time activating their super every couple shots during times vengeance to kill them when a scout rifle could kill all on the map without even reloading?

Warlock - A single fusion grenade from the warlock does more damage than 4 shots from a golden gun when stuck to an enemy. And you have two of them. When using your super you have a shit ton of them. Way more DPS than a hunter. - If you die you can resurrect. Extremely useful for hard mode. You can easily say just don't die, but shit happens sometimes. Titan - Grenades that blind enemies, extremely useful for when shit hits the fan or when the titan gets ported. - Weapons of light, helps the entire team. - Armor of light, also very useful if you're team is running two titans to place the bubble shields at the same exact place. If you are struggling on oracles than you shouldn't be in hard mode at all. I rather have the adds blinded by a titan than be with a group of people who struggle that bad on the oracles to the point where they think the hunters super is more beneficial than the other classes.

6 RepliesJust because it takes 2 gg shots on hard doesn't mean hunter become useless... They can still clear the two oracles faster than any other class... (That does come in handy) Gatekeepers 2 hunters can invis and sneak past all the adds in order to escape with both relics with minimal chance of death. The problem is what the hunter brings to the table is less tangible... With Titans you can SEE their shield... With Warlocks you can SEE them revive. Honestly if your team uses cover appropriately why would you need a bubble? If your teammates don't die why do they need Rez? Hunters are not useless they take the most skill in the game to master! The problem is people who should be playing as a titan or warlock are playing hunter and they simply are not good enough.

It's sad to see the hate. I've had destiny for 3 weeks, my first and only character so far is a 26 hunter. I completed vog on normal with a team of 29s and yesterday, with a team of mixed 26-29s (although it bugged and I didn't get any reward) Not to mention duoed nightfall at 25. It's about the player skill not character skills. If you can utilize a hunter properly, more power to you. That's all I've played on yet so I find it seems to be a change of pace from titans and warlocks to my understanding.

4 Replies1. Anyone with the "Oracle disruptor" perk on a raid weapon can clear 3 oracles in 5 seconds. One shot or not. 2. Fast and quick mean the same thing. And if your whole team is spread out and needs a cleanse you have other problems. Regardless of how fast you think you are, there is still a cool down on the cleanse. 3. Your super can clear enemies? Guess what, so can everyone else's. Also, rockets, machine guns and grenades. I don't dislike the Hunter, as a matter of fact it was the first class I played. Got it to lvl 28, deleted it and did it again. I just deleted that one yesterday. The player counts more than the class in most cases, simple answer. Hunters just don't bring as much utility to a group.

I agree with all you said besides that Hunters are very quick and fast. When are people going to realize that the armor, recovery, and agility stats are so minuscule that they don't mean shit? My titan runs the same speed as my hunter, and my hunter takes just as many hits as my titan

Fair comment but I have not experienced this problem myself as yet but Iv been on advanced warfare for the last 5 days!! As a hunter myself it's sad to hear but fuk um all at!!

Ran the raid last night with 4 hunters, no worries. If people hate on hunters they are Templar pushers and noobs. If you are a Hunter and want to run the raid legit with a full party of 6 hunters to show these fúckers how it's done then message me on Xbone. GT SnAcK 2 dA PaCk.

4 RepliesEdited by BigLanceLS: 11/7/2014 7:41:54 PMI'm a lvl 30 Hunter and these don't apply on the Hard raid. However, where Hunters are extremely valuable on the Hard raid is on Supplicant duty. One Hunter should be designated as supplicant bitch while everybody else is shooting Atheon. Golden Gun will one-shot the supplicants and saves all the people in the middle from having to dodge supplicants while scrambling away from the center. If there is ever a lvl 29 Hunter in your group on Atheon, they HAVE to be the supplicant guy!! Very useful role for somebody who is a 29 on Hard. Any class can be competent with the relic. More to do with the user than the character. If I'm teleported to Venus on hard, if I'm not the one grabing the relic, I typically will use my 3 golden gun shots on the Praetorian then move on to taking down Oracles with my maxed Atheon's Epilogue. On Mars, I'll take some pot shots at the Hobgoblins so that they aren't shooting the relic holder before moving on to Oracles. All of the classes are good in their own way and you can clear the Vault on Hard with any class as long as you know what you are doing and have a good team dynamic with good communication. I'll also add that more important that what class you are is your weapon loadout. I was lucky with weapon drops a while ago and have maxed Atheon's Epilogue, Praedyth's Revenge and Gjallahorn.

I have had played the raid where there was only one hunter, and hunters are just as good in the raid as the two other classes.

1 Replymy most amazing experience in raiding joined a group of raiders at atheon, all of them were hunter wer were level 5 29's and one 30 and it was the hard raid but they had an awesome plan which worked very good we always brought atheon down to a third of his health every team i joined before consisting only of one level 30 couldnt made it through the first portal round !

The class doesn't matter it's the skill and equipment that does hunters don't suck I have met a lot that do. But I have met 1 or 2 good ones

My team and I just beat the hard raid with 4 titans and 2 hunters. Just as easy as if we had warlocks instead.
