How Hunters are amazing in VoG
Makes me sick to see people kicking hunters out of VoG groups because they are "useless". I am going to prove them wrong. Here is how they are amazing in VoG
1. Destroying oracles fast: Got three oracles you need to destroy in less then 5 seconds or else your team die? Not a problem for a gunslinger. They can one shot those oracles
2. Great relic holders: Hunters are best fitted for the relic. They are very fast and quick. The whole team spread out and you need to cleanse them? Not a problem for the Hunter. They are also really good for in the teleporter for Atheon.
3. Clearing out enemies: Got a bunch of supplicants swarming your team on atheon? Get gunslinger and Time Vengeances and you can take out all those supplicants out. Need to help out clear enemies with the shield guy in the teleporter? Not a problem.
Now you know how they are amazing in VoG. What are they are not good out?
1. Cheesing
I laugh at the people who say hunters are useless in VoG. They are the people who want to do it the easy way by cheesing the bosses. I just want to say you guys that think so are pathetic and just so sad.
Well that is it. What you guys think? For those Hunters that do VoG, you guys are the real MVP.
Edit: Thanks for all of the responses and glad to see that many people feel the same way. It is not the class that makes the group succeed, it is the person that is holding the controller. This whole Hunter Discrimination needs to stop.

Is sporting agility while holding the relic legitimate? I always stack toughness so I don't get my ass kicked by the minotaur.

Im a level 29 hunter with 3 pieces of raid gear (dismantled my chestpiece when I got it because I thought it was useless and that's the 1 piece I need) and people try to kick me from there game sense im a hunter if you do decide to cheese a boss hunters can clense them but seriously every class in destiny is useful in ways in the raid SO STOP KICKING HUNTERS

They are helpful just as you explained. I never have a problem doing the raid with hunters. They assist on the Venus side very well with the Pretorian also.

I will tell you from over 45 runs in VoG most being on hunters they are great, in fact the two people of hard manned VOG alone used a Hunter and a Warlock, not a titan. If you ask me Titans are the worst class overall besides their bubble they are pretty much worthless.

You forgot dude as a hunter it is no problem for me to make around 8 or 9 orbs a super with yellow bar enemies which allows my titan buddy to have shields constantly. Hunters lack aoe but they have great utilities, all I think they need is a precision damage buff in pve and they'll be equal to other classes

Back when you could choose who got teleported I'd always go in as a hunter and golden gun the hobs or minotaur. Seemed pretty useful and helped the relic holder a lot.

14 RepliesThey're good for Normal runs, but just aren't as useful as warlocks or titans on hard. Golden gun just doesn't do enough damage there.

Lol I'm a warlock/hunter/Titan, if u was ever booted for bringing my hunter that person would be deleted and blocked haha. People in this game are funny every class is useful and I agree it all comes down to the person holding the controller!

We never have any problem finishing the raid and I dont experience any hunter hate from anyone I have ever played with but I always pull more than my weight in the group. We also dont cheese any of the bosses so that kind of takes that out of the equation. I make fun of the warlock in my group all of the time because he is basically constantly dying. He is pretty much the reason our group has not finished the flawless raider achievement. My suggestion is to play the class you enjoy playing and find a group of people that know how to play the game well. If you can stay alive through the fights without dying it doesn't matter what class you play. The only class I would say has a slight advantage in usefulness in VOG is Titan with weapons of light and the perk that causes orbs to spawn out of the shield. That one is particularly useful for the Templar fight, pretty much instant super recharge for the shield from the orbs that spawn.

Hunters for live i look for a hunter group of 6 too beat the raid on hard to show littel noob warlocks and titans how uslees we are hunters for live the protecting hunters

umm....not sure who you are raiding with but if they are kicking you out because you are a hunter chances are those peeps are pre-teens that just wanna cheese atheon.

I agree. Also golden gun is useful for taking out hobgoblins during the oracle phase with the Templar.

I'm a hunter, i also got a titan and a warlock, I'd pick my hunter any day, i survive longer than titans and warlocks on hard.

ive ran the hard raid every week since i hit lvl 29(i am lvl 30 now), im a hunter and almost always lead my raid group in terms of kills and least deaths. golden gun is great for the raid its good for the confluxes and for atheon. hunter like op said are great with the relic as well, i personally always take the role of relic holder when possible. i ran the hard raid 2 times this week so far once on wednesday and once yesterday, each time we had atleast 3 hunters in the party(did 2nd raid to help my lvl 29 friend do the raid on hard for the first time). the only people that say hunters are bad are people that are looking to push the bosses off. or maybe they had bad luck with a hunter once or twice. but then if thats the case u can make that argument for any class. yes titans have a shield and locks can rez. but tbh id rather have a hunter on my team that didnt die than a lock who died and rezzed 10 times. im not trying to bad mouth any class, but the hunters are useless posts im seeing are so terrible. its not true at all hunters are invaluable in the raid, especially on hard.

so your saying hutners are good cause they kill stuff.... and they are the "best relic holder"..... 1. only holds true in normal mode 2. we are default to relic holders cause we cant do shit anyways, titans would be best since they can take an extra hit... Hunters are a burst dps class, we are ment for burst, but unfortunetley our burst dps isnt enough to keep up with the others sustained dps

A few days ago or sometime last week (awful memory) me and 4 other blade dancing hunters (yes, that's 5 out of 6 players) did the raid with just one person dying once. It was great.
