Why bungie doesnt want you to collect every exotic gun.

So im at the point now where ive almost gotten every exotic weapon, and have a bunch of awesome legendaries that i love swapping out with, but im realizing; this ridiculously small stash ruins it completely. i swap my weapons over to my other characters many many times a day, and as i am still waiting for my pocket infinity bounty (only one i havent gotten), ive been sitting on 10 rare fusion rifles for literally 2 months now; as my arsenal of exotic and legendary weapons has grown, ive had to dismantle my saved rares, one at a time, to create another slot for another gun that i want to transfer to another character. im at the point now that when i transfer guns, i use my entire "gun stash" spaces, and have to decide which guns i am willing to leave behind on that character, or transfer TWICE. yea i know some will just say "why would you need all those guns" "use specific guns for specific characters", and my response to that is: why should i have to? i love being able to change my arsenal either before or during a battle, to suit that battles needs, and making sure that i have everything i need in case the situation changes; why does this game hinder those choices when you gain more weapons? why can i not transfer at LEAST the same amount of weapons that my character can hold? Every game ive ever played that had a "bank" or "stash" of some sort, has always undershot the hold amount and ends up releasing extra slots or pages, either because its ESSENTIAL, or at an ingame currency cost; so why the hell would they leave this one so pitiful? its NOT extensive programming, it wouldnt require a huge patch, just do it already.
