So i accepted a random invite...
I was just playing my 28 hunter, doing my dailys, turning in bounties. I get a random invite saying, hey can you help us with the raid? I think why not. I join. All of them are under 10, 3 are 26, 3 are 27 and dont know how to do the raid. i think eh, i can deal with this, i might get some ascendant shards or raid armor. I play through it with them, everytime they die they complain about lag. Finally after a hour we get to Oracles. As i tell them where to go, they just go wherever they want. I think only me and 1 or 2 others where shooting the Oracles. Based Icebreaker. But anyway, Templar. 3 of them are always running to get relic first. After 5 attempts of failing and them not knowing what to do, i pick up relic. Host threatens to kick me... HE dosent. We kill Templar that atttempt. I dont even WANT to say the complaining during jumping puzzles. We get to door and wait for Others to get here. Host tries to shove me off edge. He looks at me finally and says " Wait, your a hunter? We were going to cheese him." Then before i can say anything i am kicked. I am never going to accept a random invite again.
EDIT: Wow, i come back from school and theres 40 replies! didnt think people would care, thanks!
EDIT: Some people arent realizing that not all the kids are talking, the same 2 or 3 were talking, others were not talking much
EDIT: I will still be accepting random invites, i was just salty

9 Repliesi only kick people on hard mode if they arent lvl 28 and above and i get hate mail for it like dude O__O you wont be able to shoot oracles fast enough...

Oh my god an hour to get to the oracles, I would have left them and joined a different pick up group.

Edited by Gunslinger93: 11/5/2014 4:18:26 PMI think this is exactly why Bungie is so hesitant to have a Raid matchmaking playlist. That omission is one I wholeheartedly agree with; it is better to not be able to do the Raid too often than to have to put up with that kind of thing.

9 RepliesI always leave before it gets this bad... i usually say something important, like my house is on fire, or my boyfriend is horny... at which point they are more freaked out by my apparent homosexuality to see me leave.

I've been invited to a few random groups. Was never kicked but some groups have no cohesion and don't work together. Others are great. My group has had to get a fill in once as well. To bad some people are getting bad experiences. I find the coop parts of the game the best

Whenever I have tried to find random groups here, never crossed my mind to ask for no hunters. Let's just shoot the guy and kill him. It takes 10 mins if you do it wrong. No big deal

11 RepliesI joined a guy for the raid, and waited patiently while we waited for more ppl. 3,4,5,6 people in xbox party we are close to starting, wait a seventh person? why is he joining? what ? im kicked? WTF is going on? "Sorry bro we know you are lvl 29 and have good equipment but my friend has a mic and you don't so bye" kicked from xbox party...

Most random invites are bad! I've tried at least 7 random raid groups out of boredom and only 1 was good (I play with them often now). Being lvl 30 is like teenage invite bait. The worst part is always the "leader" the have dumb ideas and never listen to how it really done, and the always die a lot.

2 RepliesI play mostly with my friends, but I have people invite me to help them out and I have never had any issues so far. All the invite people that I have played with were really nice and interesting to talk to. There are a lot of people that don't have high level friends or they just don't have friends that play destiny and I am willing to help them out as long as they are mature enough.

1 ReplyI got one the other day after swinging by the vault of glass doors and jumping in to help a team working to open them. Didn't have time to raid and not into random invites, just felt good to help them out, wave and take my hunter on his merry way.

6 RepliesFunny that happened to me but mainly because when they pushed off the Templar no one got the chest cause I was rushing down there (I already got it from a previous raid) and was waiting at the bottom.. Then when they finally got to the secret chest room they were crying that it wasn't there lol so they made some excuses to kick me.. Rubbish makes me not want to play with Americans sometimes

I hear such things happen when you get to 30?? I got my last piece of armour needed to get to 30last night, maybe it will happen to me a bit more soon. I've had 2 random invites. one was just random campaign and the other was for a raid, never have I seen a bunch of strangers work so well together
