So i accepted a random invite...
I was just playing my 28 hunter, doing my dailys, turning in bounties. I get a random invite saying, hey can you help us with the raid? I think why not. I join. All of them are under 10, 3 are 26, 3 are 27 and dont know how to do the raid. i think eh, i can deal with this, i might get some ascendant shards or raid armor. I play through it with them, everytime they die they complain about lag. Finally after a hour we get to Oracles. As i tell them where to go, they just go wherever they want. I think only me and 1 or 2 others where shooting the Oracles. Based Icebreaker. But anyway, Templar. 3 of them are always running to get relic first. After 5 attempts of failing and them not knowing what to do, i pick up relic. Host threatens to kick me... HE dosent. We kill Templar that atttempt. I dont even WANT to say the complaining during jumping puzzles. We get to door and wait for Others to get here. Host tries to shove me off edge. He looks at me finally and says " Wait, your a hunter? We were going to cheese him." Then before i can say anything i am kicked. I am never going to accept a random invite again.
EDIT: Wow, i come back from school and theres 40 replies! didnt think people would care, thanks!
EDIT: Some people arent realizing that not all the kids are talking, the same 2 or 3 were talking, others were not talking much
EDIT: I will still be accepting random invites, i was just salty

Some people have been kicked at the end of a nightfall or weekly heroic just because. It's so stupid. I only nightfall with friends.

Thankfully I have been pretty lucky with randoms. I have met a lot of guys who are cool and I always have someone to play with. This community is great compared to the cod community, I always got stuck with useless people there

Honestly, I only have 1 or 2 friends on my list I'll do the raid with. I have 1 friend in particular I'll never do it with, no matter how much he asks. I enjoy doing the raid with randoms, when everybody is mature about it, anyway.

To be honest, I will accept any random invites as long is it doesn't take more than four hours. If we can't get through a checkpoint in less then 40 minutes, I leave

Joined up with some randoms while patrolling. Get in, realized that they were doing the normal raid, think "whatever". Get to the Templar, wipe, wipe, wipe,...you get the point. We only had 5 at this point and me and the party leader had been holding it down with ease on our side. Other side...well they were unhappy with me for some reason (still have no idea why since I was leading in kills). We chill for a bit to try to get more guys in and about 5 minutes in, I get the boot without warning. Message the guy and he said it was peer pressure...but he wouldn't mind raiding with me later. Yeah, that happened never...

Lol, I accepted a random invite and found a good group of adults and we did the whole raid that night.

52 RepliesLast time I got a random invite for the raid, the host was a hunter. Another hunter joined and the host kicked him cuz he wanted warlocks. I asked the host to make me fire team leader cuz i had an oracle CP and he did. I told him I only wanted warlocks and kicked him. Reinvited the hunter he kicked out......best random invite for me yet. We did the raid easy.

yesterday i got randomly invited to a fireteam with no Explanation by a guy while i was doing bounties on venus,thought to myself why not help out a bit....i didnt exactly expect...to get thrown into a 4man raid gang featuring 2 24s 1 26 and a 27 guy trying to overthrow the praetorians...funniest 5minute raid in a while though it did not benefit my statistics XD

1 ReplyI don't get why anyone would kick a Hunter in the Vault. Golden Gun is literally the only reason me and my team survive the waves of Supplicants at Atheon and occasionally the Fanatics during the Templar. To all the Hunters who've saved my life from imminent death, GG.

I had a full fireteam once but here's the kick, (hahaha I crack myself up) one sounded older than some 15 year olds and the rest were 5 year olds. We couldnt finish atheon because of somebody else or "lag"

My question for you is: Why did you stay with this sad excuse of a group until the Gatekeeper checkpoint? I would have left within the first 5 minutes. You chose to stay so the frustration is partially your own doing.

Last night, thanks to a random invite, I was able to get through the Raid in under two hours, making great time and working together, we beat Atheon with no issue. Random invites are just that: random. Though I definitely feel all ya'lls pain. I've been kicked right before Gorgons for being a hunter. Also had to deal with a bunch of greenhorns once. Never made it past the Templar.

5 RepliesTo all, please continue to accept random invites. We had a group of 5 and needed a 6th to fill out the team, we didn't care about which class. We had a great time and moved through without any major slowdowns. Thanks Engage! Whenever you accept a random invite you have a chance to find good people to either just do the one run together or to find a new friend. There will be times when you will meet less than stellar members of the gene pool and those are times to just pull the plug and try a different group.
