I can see it killing trash in one shot but on a boss supers are a waste period. I could be wrong but I believe their intended use is to clear the adds quicker than you can with weapons, when you don't have good weapons I mean. Like on Phogath. I always save my supers for the Wizards, especially near the end when three or four of them can be up at once.
