Really Dissapointed Fan

Here I am, just one more time, hoping for a Bungie's response to a major issue. I've been trying to play the game since day one, in which I spent over $80 bucks for it, but the massive amount of error codes won't let me. Keep getting baboon, elk, kingfisher and lots more in a really random way. And NO I'm not using a mobile connection. My Xbox right now is Hardwired to my router and my router is connected to my gateway (modem). I went over every single step of troubleshooting, EACH ONE OF THEM, yet none worked. Even calling my ISP to change my gear (which I found REALLY unfair) because I though it was my connection. I called a technician and he made a bunch of test: Pingtest, Speed Test, etc. When he was done he told me this: "Your connection to you ISP and the outside world is fine with a latency of 13 ms and Jitter of 6ms, which is optimal for gaming, so the issue might be related to your ISP connecting to Destiny servers or Bungie itself" Now here comes my question: What am I supposed to do now, If the issue is completely out of my hands? I am really sure that tons of people out there are having the same situation, there connection is fine, but for some unknown reason we can't play the game... So, are we going to blame our providers for the same issue all around the globe?... I doubt it. I've spent countless hours here in the forums looking for the answer, waiting for something or someone to tell us what's going on, because obviously you can't even tell what's happening with your game! But I'm starting to think, that most of the Microsoft users (x360 and XB1) are the players with more issues.... Just think about it, out of 10 threats here in the forums, regarding an error code or a disconnection, close to 8 belongs to a Microsoft user. Why? So Bungie tell me, what I'm I supposed to do now? We all know is really hard for you Bungie, but nearly two months since the release date and still you can't provide us with a solid answer. --From a really, really disappointed FAN of Bungie. • Suggestion for yourself, upgrade to ps4. Suggestion to bungie.net: simply (?) this... If Microsoft wasn't starting to frag their own machines because of glitchers/modders/hackers, the Xbox 360 and Xbox ONE probably wouldn't have as many problems, although from an open source perspective, Microsoft has been a target since the first freeware hit the net... (If only because Mr Gates likes money a little too much, seriously, what the f*** does he need it all for? An intergalactic starship? Or maybe his own country?...) anyhoo, back to the suggestion. Upgrade your destiny servers (the ones that house all the game world runtimes and the lobbies themselves...) and ATTEMPT to secure them... It might also help (I know it's a ballache but your gonna have to...) to have a look at how much network traffic and data your servers can actually handle, after all, it's no good having a host machine/server run game if somewhere in the connection, the servers decide too much is too much... Might point out also (tho I doubt and hope your not...) that thin client servers are a stupid idea, even if you ran loads of the things and hooked them to a hub.... A DECENT set of gaming rigs set up as servers running the game would be ultimately cost effective for yourselves also, especially as you can retask them to other things when you need to. In destiny's case, a (simple?) solution would be: one server per game world/lobby, run your benchmarks and ask yourselves if you care enough about the gamers experience enough to do it ... (I know you do, otherwise you wouldn't be making awesome games, you'd be ripping people off with secondhand cars or something...) ;) I hope this situation gets sorted out soon, I love destiny, love halo <-[did you sell it???] and hope the second expansion delivers the goods as the first one is indeed starting to... On the modder front, if corporations didn't make themselves targets they wouldn't get continually cracked... (I heard Apple Inc FINALLY got their pwnage, it's a shame that Mr Steve Jobs wasn't around to see it and say "ok, you got me" ;)

 • Excellent post. I hope they respond. But so far Bungie has been mum about error code definitions. After the forum support bots tell you to follow the network suggestions they go silent. Post screenshots of your router, show the XBOX displaying Open NAT, post ping results during errors, nothing matters.
