Not to mention in other games I keep playing after 100+ hours because I'm having a blast. Not because I've gotten unlucky with loot drops and am still only lvl 26.
The light system is garbage and needs to go. Maybe if you actually put a decent amount of content in the game you wouldn't need these light levels that rely solely on getting lucky enough to have good items drop.

I play even mediocre games for 100 hours just to see what I might be missing. I can't tell you how many times I've put a game down because I wasn't super into it, only to come back later at the right time and play the living crap out of it. Good example: The first time I put Morrowind into my original Xbox, I wasn't sure what the hell it was or what I was getting into. I thought, "Meh" and put it down and went back to Halo. A few months later, I was bored, put it back in, and didn't stop again for months. My first go at didn't really show me what the game had to offer and I wasn't in the right frame of mind to fully appreciate or accept what I was getting into. Ever since then, I go out of my way to really give games a chance to do their thing. Many games don't get really good into you get into the later end of it. Unfortunately, Destiny was not designed that way.
