The sword he used to kill guardians was literally the size a hallowed knight would use.
So, it's probably not going to be big, whatever it is.

It's conceivable that the sword might grow with power, and having not been used for decades could have shrunken and shrivelled. The Hive's weapons, especially their swords, look fairly organic.
