I would think due to hormonal differences. Testosterone, an enraged boy, a weapon, and the media blowing up these shootings would probably make a mentally unstable person do something like that. I think girls really only get depressed, not enraged. Depression leads to bad things too. But with men, depression, testosterone, and the popularity of school shooting might make them more likely to act out like this.
