I'm glad to hear these steps helped you out! They may not work for all players though, and we aren't currently recommending them. Instead, we have a main post that tracks the MONKEY error here: http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/75534241/0/0
Any updates will be made there and we can share that people are encountering this error at a significantly reduced rate today, without having to change their network settings or configuration.

Edited by EternalMonkeyDNS: 10/30/2014 11:59:46 AMAccording to these thread, this DNS solution is not so useful. =) I had constanty disconnections before changing my DNS servers, so new DNS settings has really helped me alot. PS. It would be nice to know the exact cause for these problems, because people have reported that DNS or booting home network equipment (or something else) have helped in this case.
