I posted ages ago when the DLC was supposedly leaked and what a complete joke it was! Most of the fan-boys went mental to defend the practice of DLC with its "just content markers" or "there is more content" or "I'm a broke ass/ self entitled whiner" lol.
now we have details on the content its even less than originally thought...
1. $20/£19.99 Standalone $34.99/£34.99 Season Pass
2. Light Cap: Lvl 32
3. New Armor and Weapons
4. 5 New Bounty Slots
5. new character Eris in story mode, with 3 new missions
6. New Strike: The Will of Crota
7. New Raid: Crota's End
8. New PvP Maps: Pantheon, Skyshock, The Cauldron
9*. Exclusive Strike for Playstation: The Undying Mind
Out December 9, 2014
Personally this is joke and complete rip off I want new planets with content and space battles, new gameplay ideas etc. I have seen so many good ideas on the forums yet they release this garbage!
Edit 1- I don't care about other games, my point is DLC in general is a rip off and only encourages publishers to release half finished games and shoddy DLC!
Edit 2 - Perspective... you brought Destiny for likely £40 probably more. You got 20+ story missions, 4/5 strikes, raid and all the rest. Your gonna pay half that for 3 story's 1 raid 1 strike and rest.... COME ON WAKE UP
Edit 3 - WOW so much hate! As consumers you should expect more, defending DLC seriously ? "You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inert, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it"
Edit 4 - I'm from the UK so for our American friends £20 = $32, £35 = $56. To be more clear as some people are confused in America you can buy both DLC packs for $35 which is about £22. in the UK we would effectively be paying $56 for the same content
Edit 5 - Loads of response and great feedback and only a few idiots posting :) as it stands
- Yes is winning by about 100 votes which is surprising as the general consensus from the comments is more in favour of no and disappointment, however UK gamers are clearly far more pissed at the price and rightly so.
- Huge amount of people already purchased the DLC happy at 450 votes with 230 people unhappy they already bought DLC.
- Also 177 people sat on the fence undecided
Edit 6 - Great response well over 3k votes! as it stands on 31st at 10 am in order of the poll..
Y=795
N=572
Und=383
DontC=105 (lol why vote then)
have SP happy = 1010!
have SP Angry = 469
Edit 7 - IMO the content is disgraceful for the price. I think the game lacks content already and is highly repetitive for no good reason. Alot of people justify the cost by the time spent on the game, to me its irrelevant its quality not quantity. Yes you spent 100 hours in game but half of that was doing the same stuff over and over and over etc. lots of people justify the price by comparing to other costs cinema/food etc again i don't agree its comparable for example i could buy a music album and listen to that for the next 40 years!
DLC is way for publishers to milk money from consumers and its unsettling how many people actually don't care and worse even defend the practice! Only way to change this is to vote with your wallet! If consumers didn't buy DLC publishers would hit the panic button and actually think twice before they release games and DLC that would actually be worth a purchase.
For the price of £35 i can buy another game and will do so.

Despite a lot of people being pissed at the DLC, I'm still looking forward to the new weapons and expansion of the story.
-
Bought it for both 360 and xbone I spent more on map packs.

Edited by Neutrill: 10/31/2014 3:41:06 PMIf I was on Playstation I'd get it, but I absolutely refuse to pay for DLC that has less on my platform then the other, at the same cost. Hey Activision, I'll give you $10 now, and the other $10 in Fall 2015
-
Undecided, will see if i still feel like playing it when it comes out. Dragon Age might sway me away...
-
Buying because I'm not poor and I enjoy the game.
-
Came with my pre-order, so I'm happy to have it love Destiny, dispite the flaws. That is the definition of love. Looking past the faults at the beauty that resides within
-
Edited by Outcast_Blazed: 10/31/2014 12:26:35 PM(I'll be buying some weed and DLC)
-
No. Same crap with a different cover. I'm putting my money towards Unity. If I get it for christmas, awesome. But otherwise I doubt I'll be getting it
-
Not a chance. I have four games, halo 5 beta code for December, and I digital series for halo all being released in 11 days for $60.
-
It is a rip off for xbox players: We pay same price and get one less strike and we have to wait a month
-
I already have the season pass. If you had told me at first play station would be getting an extra strike I wouldn't even have considered it. I'll play it, probably enjoy it, but that doesn't mean I'll enjoy having less content for the same money.
-
No because I don't have any money to buy it because I spent 60 -blam!-ing dollars on this game in the first place!
-
You say the content is disgraceful but you haven't played it, stop being so biased.
-
I'm getting it. Armor looks sick, I want to raid. I haven't even gotten tired of the vault yet. I find it fun beating completion times and helping out others who need some experienced players.
-
I've got a ps4
-
yep got the expansion pass but even i did not have it i would buy as the raiding in this game is awazing fun and i look forward to raiding crota's end in december
-
Really if you buy the DLC you keep buying like a moron in the future to expend the game. I just wait for a new game to come out with a new storry than to see the same monsters over and over, daily's over and over, strikes over and over. I rather move on to a game I can like than brainless shoot down.
-
Seriously it's $20 man if you don't want it don't get it...why do people need the support of the masses to make a personal decision...I don't make that much cash...but for the love of all things destiny I'm gonna find a way to part with the cash for this ?expensive? DLC. Two words.....no subscription
-
Undecided- I've enjoyed the game a lot but I've watched a few videos that have kind of turned me against buying it... With witcher3 and the division around the corner it's hard to say
-
I will buy it, if it is worth it, so not right away.
-
As a uk based player im firstly paying more for the dlc than those folks in the US. Thats annoying. I also play on xbone, i didnt mind too much about the exclusive content for ps4 but it irks me more now that the dlc also has exclusive content for the same price and for a full year! i paid £45 for the game. Ive played it loads. I enjoy the game i have, i am disapointed its not the game i was told i was getting but ive def got my monies worth out of it and am still playing. I will prob buy the dlc but it anoys me that im paying little under half the games price for such a small amount of extra content
-
I don't think the $35 is all that much for me. I spend all my entertainment budget on games instead of movies or cable TV.
-
I'm buying because I have faith that Bungie is going to do something great with it. Plus I also want to do the second Raid.
-
What a surprise, the highest one is happy people who already bought it...why is everyone so angry about the DLC? I just don't get it.
-
Company's will forever provide consumer goods and its up to the consumer to choose what they spend their money on. Get over it, you won't start some revolution and change the face of capitalism or "unplug" the masses with your rhetoric, Neo. Fun thing about Video games is there is a ton to choose from so go choose and be free little birdie.

Got a £35 gift voucher for the expansion pass with my XB1 + Destiny bundle. I of course used it on the season pass straight away. I wish now that I had waited and used the £35 to get a game for £10 instead of these expansions. I will have stopped playing this game before December, so coming back for a few story missions + 1 strike really isn't that exciting...
