I posted ages ago when the DLC was supposedly leaked and what a complete joke it was! Most of the fan-boys went mental to defend the practice of DLC with its "just content markers" or "there is more content" or "I'm a broke ass/ self entitled whiner" lol. now we have details on the content its even less than originally thought... 1. $20/£19.99 Standalone $34.99/£34.99 Season Pass 2. Light Cap: Lvl 32 3. New Armor and Weapons 4. 5 New Bounty Slots 5. new character Eris in story mode, with 3 new missions 6. New Strike: The Will of Crota 7. New Raid: Crota's End 8. New PvP Maps: Pantheon, Skyshock, The Cauldron 9*. Exclusive Strike for Playstation: The Undying Mind Out December 9, 2014 Personally this is joke and complete rip off I want new planets with content and space battles, new gameplay ideas etc. I have seen so many good ideas on the forums yet they release this garbage! Edit 1- I don't care about other games, my point is DLC in general is a rip off and only encourages publishers to release half finished games and shoddy DLC! Edit 2 - Perspective... you brought Destiny for likely £40 probably more. You got 20+ story missions, 4/5 strikes, raid and all the rest. Your gonna pay half that for 3 story's 1 raid 1 strike and rest.... COME ON WAKE UP Edit 3 - WOW so much hate! As consumers you should expect more, defending DLC seriously ? "You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inert, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it" Edit 4 - I'm from the UK so for our American friends £20 = $32, £35 = $56. To be more clear as some people are confused in America you can buy both DLC packs for $35 which is about £22. in the UK we would effectively be paying $56 for the same content Edit 5 - Loads of response and great feedback and only a few idiots posting :) as it stands - Yes is winning by about 100 votes which is surprising as the general consensus from the comments is more in favour of no and disappointment, however UK gamers are clearly far more pissed at the price and rightly so. - Huge amount of people already purchased the DLC happy at 450 votes with 230 people unhappy they already bought DLC. - Also 177 people sat on the fence undecided Edit 6 - Great response well over 3k votes! as it stands on 31st at 10 am in order of the poll.. Y=795 N=572 Und=383 DontC=105 (lol why vote then) have SP happy = 1010! have SP Angry = 469 Edit 7 - IMO the content is disgraceful for the price. I think the game lacks content already and is highly repetitive for no good reason. Alot of people justify the cost by the time spent on the game, to me its irrelevant its quality not quantity. Yes you spent 100 hours in game but half of that was doing the same stuff over and over and over etc. lots of people justify the price by comparing to other costs cinema/food etc again i don't agree its comparable for example i could buy a music album and listen to that for the next 40 years! DLC is way for publishers to milk money from consumers and its unsettling how many people actually don't care and worse even defend the practice! Only way to change this is to vote with your wallet! If consumers didn't buy DLC publishers would hit the panic button and actually think twice before they release games and DLC that would actually be worth a purchase. For the price of £35 i can buy another game and will do so.

  • My vote was already purchased but angry. Reason: There needs to be a more viable way for someone that plays 99% PvE to reach level 30 so they can actually play the new content since the cap is moving up to 32. I know the Iron Banner 2 is coming but again that is PvP based and will very tough since they say level and gear will matter this time, so if your team goes up angainst a team of all 30's you will little to no chance to win. I know there will a "chance" to get gear that will have light of 30 but only 2 pieces so once again the raid is needed to reach level 30. If Bunggie dosen't implement Matchmaking for all aspects of the game: Strikes, Weekly's, Daily's and RAID I see more people leaving and I don't want that to happen. I posted this in another post earlier: If matchmaking is implemented the chance of clearing the vault may be slim to none the first 10 times you try but from this you will "LEARN" you will gain experience that you could apply to an actual raid group willing to give you a chance. Just my thoughts.

  • I already bought the season pass on PS4, I usually don't, go figure why. I won't be buying it for the XB1. Or so I say now, in all honesty I probably will. I just don't want to.

  • Quite honestly my purchase will depend on how activision makes bungie "fix" the game

  • In your edit 4 you mention the conversion rate. So the DLC costs $32 for the standalone American? If they prorated the game for the currency difference to where you paid ~£40 why wouldn't they do the same for the DLC. In $ standalone is 1/3 of the cost of the game So for 1/3 of the cost you get 3 missions or 15% of what was in the original. You get 2 strikes which is 1/3 of the orginal, 1 raid which is 1/1 of the original. 4 new multiplayer maps or 40% of the original. Compared to the original price and the amount of content given it's a decent deal. If you disagree, you don't have to purchase it or could wait for it to go on sale.

  • Can't see why people are complaining. Look at the price of other games DLC and what you get. For example, Battlefield 4 is $15 per expansion. you get about 4 maps and a couple guns. I think for $5 more for what Bungie is coming out with is correct and fair. Even if the DLC is on the disk. I have put over 100 hours in this game. Yes it is repetitive but I can't recall the last time I put this much time into a game this quickly. I will be buying this. Hands down.

    • Already have my expansion pass and more than happy with it. I'm a reasonable person and believe in paying for things I want. If I quit Destiny today I'd still be happy. Over a hundred hours for the $160 I paid for my Ghost Edition? Sounds fair to me. If I can reasonably go out to a movie and dinner and drop $70+ for a few hours of entertainment I don't see how anyone can complain about a dollar or so an hour for entertainment. Remember arcades? I do. A dollar barely got you 5 minutes of gaming.

    • Yep, I be getting it. Reason, I like Destiny and it's my number one played game at the moment. £20 is -blam!- all these days, I spend that a day on food sometimes. I don't get people complaining about something they not forced to buy. If you think it's a rip off, then -blam!- off and don't buy it.

      • Even though these patches are ruining the game I'm still gonna play the game because I enjoy it. I don't care what other people think I base my opinion of something on what I think of it. I've bought my season pass I'm happy with it. And even if it was crapy dlc then I will know but doesn't mean I'm wasting my money. I decide if it's wasted or not

          • The DLC has already been completed they're just holding it for later. But as far as we know bungie is already working on different planets even with a good team complex coding can take months/years to complete

          • I'll need to see what value the DLC brings, not so much concerned with the quantity. If the story missions actually provide some actual additional and important story driven content, then I will heavily consider purchasing the DLC. I don't like the idea of having to essentially purchase bounty space though. That right there is an example of something that should be free in an update...

What you are asking for would be considered an Expansion. DLC is just a quick hit between expansions, and that's exactly what we are getting. 1) I don't believe that they exclude content in favor of DLC. Even if they did, i more han got my monies worth. 2) I paid $90 for my limited edition. If you figure that just the game cost $64.99 to $69.99(Day 1 pricing) I only pad about $30 for all the extras. Even if you say the physical items were free, the DLC is $15 each. That's about right for the content we are getting. 3) As a consumer I always want to get the most for my money. Looking back on what DLC has been selling for, and the content you usually get, this is about on par with the market.

                    • Did you really think the ideas from the forums could be noted, brainstormed, roadmapped, developed, tested, redeveloped, tested, redeveloped, tested and released into production in the space of two months? Any company running the agile method with twice daily scrums couldnt ever come up with a plan for sprints to develop that quickly. Actually research what you're getting upset about and complaining over because you only reveal your ignorance and lose credibility for the rest of your argument, which was a solid opinion until you based it on something completely unrealistic.
