Sometimes its hard to say whats intented and what isnt. In nexus(nightfall) most people kill the last boss without jumping down. But this causes a minotaur to spawn behind you... So it looks like they expected people to camp up there.

Most strikes have a special spawn. The Summoning Pit gets a Shrieker that spawns in the room outside (sometimes a couple of wizards too). Nexus has the Minotaur, The Devil's lair gets a captain and two vandals that spawn to the left of the entrance, if you move back from the entrance, they spawn behind you. So Bungie have anticipated and designed the strikes with these tactics in mind, and placed counter measures that make it a little more difficult, especially if you are not paying attention to your surroundings.

  • Yh true but the rock in the templar fight wasnt intented on the other hand. And you can still do many parts before the templar fight this way from the spawn point.
