I agree. We've been given the bare minimum.

I don't know, the more I look about it, and listen in to everything going on, stuff begins to make more sense. The only major story complaint that I have is that the cryptarch didn't give the quest for Vault of Glass. Dinklebot mentioned that the cryptarch would "love to hear about" the Vault of Glass. Therefore, it would have made logical sense that the cryptarch would have been related somehow to your exploration of the vault.
