• This isn't about the jump scares, it is about the story behind the jumpscares.

  • Look, this video was about the parallels between a game and a real life murder. Not about how good the game was. If you want to do that, you should find a different thread.

It's about the story. Not the gameplay. The Evil Within doesn't have as many parallels as this game. Most everything in Five Nights at Freddy's has symbolism and meaning. By the way, Slender is based off of a fictional character created by the Internet and some German works of art.

The Evil Within was most likely based on psychological testing, and the enemies have symbolism within the game, such as the Laura monster being a skewed monstrosity of Ruvik's dead sister, who burned alive. And Slender might have been based on unexplained murders, but I have to wonder what the pages symbolize. Please, tell me what the symbolism is in both games, and the specific murders they were based on. If you do, I'd be more than happy to read about them.

  • The problem is that the murders happened after the game game out. Slender came out in 2012, while the murders occurred in 2014, after the fact. There is no doubt, though, that those murders are chilling and horrible in and of themselves. Thank you for providing the link, though. It was honestly a good read
