Where the hell did you go to school? Every one of teachers in good ol' Muricah' have taught MM/DD/YY
-
I actually learned it from reddit.

I cry shennanigans.

Some of us are more globally inclined than others.

Well It's atypical to write it another way if American (unless influenced by living elsewhere or family from elsewhere). We also don't use the metric system as the remainder of the world does. Not using metric is -blam!-ing stupid, but I agree that the "American" who read that as April 11th is full of shit.
-
Think what you want about my filling, that's how I read it. Why don't you go stereotype somebody else for a while.
-
Also, it's a video game forum. -blam!- it. Let's just play....well I can once zebra gets fixed.
-
http://xkcd.com/386/ Good point though, if you happen to play on x360 keep an eye out for me.

Haha, nice. XB1

My intention wasn't to do an ignorant prick. I was combating the argument from the other post. I bet you if you took a poll of Americans, who have been in this country from birth, who's family parents didn't directly move to the states from another country, that 99.999999% of them would read that as intended and not the way you claim to have. I still think you're lying, but if not, you are in the beyond vast minority (or you didn't do well in elementary school)
-
I'm in a lot of vast minorities. But if you consider that information consumption affects thought patterns, and that one of my main sources of information is reddit - where posts containing dates gain a disproportionate amount of visibility specifically because of arguments over the "correct" date format and which supports a decent UK representation - I don't think it should be considered quite so unusual if I do occasionally read a date as dd/mm/yyyy format.
-
Fair enough, I'm not arguing over something that doesn't affect me either way congratulations, I concede.
