Note- I'm glad this turned out like I had planned ಥ_ಥ Dank you so much. ▼[b]READ BEFORE POSTING[/b]▼ [spoiler][u]• This forum is meant for people who believe that they have ideas that will revolutionize the game. It is open to everyone and the main purpose is to perfect ideas that people have for this game. I hope this will help us perfect ideas and make them well known to bungie, and maybe even have them added to the game.[/u][/spoiler] ● [b]If you read that little thing up there, you obviously know my goal in making this thread. It seems none of our ideas have been added to the game no matter how much support we put into them. A good example would be the thread that talked about adding more uniqueness to weapons! Choosing between frames, emblems, and even bullet colors! I agreed with this idea substantially and wondered why Bungie wouldn't add this? I'm sure there's plenty of reasons regarding how long it would take and how it would function with the other game mechanics... However that is what this thread is for. People who have revolutionary ideas can have their ideas perfected here hopefully. I hope that people will post their ideas here so me and some other people in my clan can help you perfect them. Not saying others can't make suggestions too, in fact that would be great! The more the merrier. To get this started off I'll share one of my ideas, feel free to post on here with suggestions on this idea or to share your idea.[/b] ●[b]Open PvP System[/b] ● The reason why I so desperately want this to be added into the game is because I don't believe it would conflict with the other game mechanics as much and it would make the game much more fun, adrenaline wise. Now of course there are people who disagree with this system and may be asking some questions like... ●[b]What about the low-leveled players?[/b] ●[b]What if I don't want to fight other players and just do Patrol Missions?[/b] ●[b]What would be the point? What could I gain from this?[/b] To respond to that... ●There would of course be a level restriction or a system in which the player can enable and disable PvP, I have seen this in many games and have heard no complaints aimed towards this system within those games. This would solve both question A and B. Now what if a player enables it and then disables it when he is about to die? Well this is where it gets a bit tricky... I would suggest adding a "PvP Tag" System where if the player is hit by another player, they can not enable/disable the timer for a set amount of time. However, I have not seen anything similar to this implemented into the game mechanics besides effects that trigger death. Ex. Ritual of Negation. Now a simpler solution to this would be that the enable/disable function would have a time limit of 5 minutes before continuous usage. Sadly this wouldn't solve the problem entirely, as people could just go into the zone, hide, and wait 5 minutes before PvP'ing. This is where you come in! Hopefully that is... I need more suggestions to improvise this system and make it better. ●Oh and to respond to the third question... If the player chooses to Patrol with PvP Enabled. When they die, the player can collect everything they have collected during this patrol as drops. Example, if Player A obtains a decoherent engram from a loot crate, and Player B kills Player A, Player B will drop the Decoherent Engram at the point of death. ●[b]Also, if I might add.. I realize that there is a forum category on Bungie.net for these ideas. However, as I said before; most of these have not been answered, if one has, then please link me to it. What difference will this one make? Well... I hope it will gain enough people to back it that Bungie will have no choice but to hear us out.[/b]

  • I have some ideas. [u]Character Customization[/u] - The current options for customization is embarrassing. More hairstyles, more ethnic hairstyles, separate tattoo and scar selections, and [b]BEARDS![/b] [u]Tower Barber Shop[/u] - With more options comes people wanting to change their looks every so often. A barber shop would allow gamers to change their looks at will. [u]Transmogrification[/u] - There's currently only one way to level 30 and beyond and that comes with only one type of armor. Some people don't like the looks of it. Allowing people to change the look of their armor while retaining the stats will go a long way towards more customization. [u]Weapon Shaders [/u] - We're supposed to be getting ship and Sparrow shaders with the DLC, so why not weapon shaders too? [u]More Weapons[/u] - There have been numerous posts asking for grenade launchers, bows, SMGs, Railguns (my personal favorite), and melee weapons. Throw them all in, but there's an issue of balance, so I suggest... [u]PvP Quarantine[/u] - There may be some that disagree with me, but the only way I see total balance in the Crucible is to make every armor and weapons purely cosmetic, then give base stats to every weapon type. Weapon balance will be much simpler than singling out certain weapons and changing their stats to where it affects PvE too. [u]Clan Functionality[/u] - Pretty much everything GKW has stated in his post. Please check it out. [u]Emote Macros[/u] - One of my 1st ideas for Destiny was to change how you emote entirely. Instead of using the entire dpad, you'd use only the down direction+right stick to select from a wheel of emotes. It'll allow for more emotes and free up the dpad for more uses (some posters suggested doing the same for weapon/consumable selection as well). That's all I have for now. See? I can be positive too! I know all these ideas suggested here will take time to be implemented in the game, if they were to consider doing such a thing. That's why I stress about communication so much. It can alleviate fears that developers aren't supporting the game and are focusing on things that'll keep gamers around.

        Idea: The only way to get exotics is by bounties. These can be found randomly out in the wild (not by turning in a bounty) or can be purchased from Xur (he would now sell exotic bounties instead of exotics). The exotic bounties would be similar to what they are now, but the bounties would also take you through the story of your gear, so that you appreciate each piece for the story behind it, not just because it looks cool and is powerful.

        • Ok why not put a vendor that sells materials so i don't have to spend 2 hours gathers 240 relic iron. Or maybe make a vendor that can take a engram and shuffle it so you have a chance to get an exotic engram without buying it from xur maybe make it cost 15000 glimmer or 5 strange coins or something.Maybe put minigames in the tower so if you are waiting for people to join your fireteam to raid you have something to do. Maybe put a custom shader you can use and customize, look i know it would cause sever lag but i'm not asking for like fully customizable gear on ps3, ps4 xbox one and pc maybe, but not on last gen just make it to wear i can have a god damn black and white tiger stripe shader for -blam!-s sake. Maybe make some new mission elements instead of " oh you'll sit here and kill things until you killed them all" Try to put some more voice acting elements maybe make your character say something with each in game action like "hi" for the waving on humans. Now i know it a rated T for teen game but alot of Teens know what cuss words are so put them in the game i want to here my exo guy say "-blam!-!" when his health goes into the red zone. Put more dances simple, Maybe implement a house mechanic to wear you see detail models of your other characters chilin in your house and you can trade items between your characters, now i know it gets rid of the purpose of safes but i want to see my 28 titan talk to my lvl 5 warlock because in the game you know there are more than one guardian out there why not make it to wear you can see your other guardians? Make gun,bike, ghost, and ship shaders simple. Make a vendor to where you can pay to change your appearance, gender, race, and sexuality because i am tired of my bumblebee titian i made on accident. And make it to wear you hear other people with mikes doing strike runs i understand the fireteam only mic thing in crucible not in the main game. And de nerf the auto rifle in the main -blam!-ing game in crucible i understand the nerf but not outside it. Three more put in a new race, new element, and make ti to wear the shader lady SELLS DIFFERENT -blam!-ING SHADERS! =.= i'm done

          • Actual usable ships would be on my list. No guns or battles though, that would ruin it. You can coustamise them using ship shaders and you can explore different parts of the galaxy and collect loot in space, something like the ship from AC. I think this will add a new level to the attempted space element the devs tried to implement. You also have the option to use hyperdrive, which will get you to you're DESTINation (see what I did there?) much quicker but your character will start to look older (wrinkles, bags, chicken necks, ect.) and if used too much will lower stats such as speed and strength. This is also heavily requested, but we want to see the rest of a The City and a gambling system using your best gear.

            • 1. Hoard mode 2. Pvp tournament 64 1v1 first to five kills wins no supers top two players are guaranteed a legendary engram and first place has a 50 50 for a exotic. A evemt like this would work say every four hours or so. Basicly this adds in guaranteed chance for legends and up and you either put up or shut up. 3. Strike races- basicly two teams of three race to beat their strike mission done the fastest it would have to be the same striks that both teams do cuase say a team is selected nexus and other pholgoth nexus team will win hands down unless there completely incompetent. Obviously winners get better loot and I think this would promote more team cooperation and playing together help make the game more social. 4. In game chat- be it in game lobbys at tower or a chat box something to help people make groups easier and improve social aspect. 5. More match making- as it stands with the social aspect of the game it makes getting teams for vog very hard. 6. Dinklebot fight arena- lets face it we dont particularly like dinklebot so make dinklebot fight along side you to lvl up customize him in a special way and have him pit against other dinklebots which leass me to 7. Gambling albeit slots or dinklebot bets betting on which dinklebot wins or betting in single bets against others or some kinda cosino system. 8.world bosses- whats A mmo without world bosses!!! I dont mean 3 or 6 man teams I mean lots a lots of people say 25 or so. 9. Some kind of in game economy trading/selling with others auction house as the casino thing as a money sink and trading I think it could work as it stands I do almost nothing with my glimmer besides ammo synthesis. 10. Kinda like dinklebot arena insteaf player dueling anywhere like boarder lands being able to stake stuff or fun fights etc. 11. More pvp game modes namly capture the flag comes to mind at first more strikes etc. 12. Raid marks- don't have to be a ton dont have to be fast to get but raid marks for reals. I know ive not done the raid nowhere near as much as others only twice not from a lake of trying just hard to to make a team. Both times all shards and shaders and im sure others who have done raid s way more than me would agree. 13. Kinda going off the dinklebot idea a bit familiars. Having more mini companions to help out. 14. Being able to destroy drops ships lets be honest we all want to shoot them mofos down. 15. Some way to get materials besides running in circles for hours getting them its repetitive and boring. So I proposise add them into enemy loots mission rewards something to make it less of a chore to do. I could add more ideas but these are ummm quite a few off the top of my head so kinda a big list but ohwell.

                Everyone asking for miracles in the game and being mad that they don't happen... Programming takes a LONG FREAKING TIME. Bungie has claimed that they read all our posts and all suggestions are taken into consideration. Granted, there's a distinct lack if individual responses, but whether or not they say they're going to do anything, if they do try to work with these ideas, IT WON'T HAPPEN OVERNIGHT. Say your piece and give them time to actually do something with it instead of assuming that they're not going to because it wasn't in the next patch. EDIT: In retrospect, that came off way more aggressive than it should have. This post seems intended to actually help. Let me rephrase the original post: Making suggestions is good, but don't assume change will come quickly. Programming takes time, so anything that actually gets implemented will take a while. Patience.

                • Here's a DLC idea: you are required to do a story bounty on Mars, and your in orbit, until an animation shows of you crashing. You barely survive, you're ship is unsalvageable, and Dinklebot is nowhere to be seen. Later on this hot, dead planet, you discover you are on Mercury before the Vex. Your Guardian has somehow ripped the space time continuum and now the traveler has not been discovered, there are no guardians, and The Darkness is arising and trying to bury the Traveler under Freehold. This is also where the Exos were born, a prototype of The Vex. It will give closure to the story, show backstory of The Stranger, and lead to the events of Exos going bat shit crazy and joining the Darkness after destroying the Tower from the inside out. It will also lead up to the final battle between The Darkness and The Guardians.

                    These are a few things me & most people I've talked to believe should be implemented into Destiny or just general improvements to the game. If any of my suggestions have been mentioned before in other posts, forums, or even in this thread, please know I'm not trying to "steal" anybodies ideas, it just means they are good ideas that we both want :) Constructive criticism is welcome, trolls will be shot on sight though... So let's all have a health adult conversation about what we believe the future of Destiny should look like. 1. Skippable cut scenes would be great. 2. Make anything that Xur sells unique, exotics you can only get from him. No more raid gear being sold by Xur, never ever. Xur's exotic gear should be raid equivalent gear, just never the same stuff you can get from the raid. 3. Redo all the "skill trees". Make it so there's actually a choice between abilities, kinda like how Borderlands skill trees are. 4. Add more vendors at the Tower that cater to pve. Currently the only vendors that sell worth while gear are locked behind reputation. I don't mine having to grind for rep, but more options never hurt. Also their inventories should always be randomized. 5. I've already said this later in the post, make Jupiter a pvp planet. All factions are vying for control of Jupiter. You pick a faction to support, head down to the planet, you'd start in your factions safe base. After you leave the base you walk out into a very large zone where every faction is battling each other. If anyone is reading this & played Elder Scrolls Online, imagine this pvp being something like the pvp in ESO. Gigantic battles would rage across the surface of Jupiter, hundreds of guardians fighting & killing each other 24/7... Sounds very epic to me. 6. Add the Grimoire to the game. There is no reason we should have to leave the game just to read some lore that helps explain WTF is going on w/ the story. Hell the Speaker has a library right behind him so why can't we just go up to those book shelves, press a button, & magically bring up our grimoire stuff? Makes since to me. 7. Bungie please get more creative with your bosses. Stop making them just larger versions of the same smaller enemies we fight all the time. 8. Give us more customization options, for our characters, ships, ghosts, weapons, etc. Shaders are cool & all but it'd be nice to mix & match colors ourselves. Maybe put clan emblems on our armor/ weapons. Just give us more options to make our character stand out from each other more. 9. Bungie, please give us actual audio options! I mean wtf! Destiny is the first game I've played since like 2005 that didn't have audio options! I love my surround sound, I like to adjust the music down to where I can barely hear it in the background, I adjust the ambient & effects volumes down, & max out the dialogue. It's how I've always done it, but in Destiny I can't do any of that, so when it's time for my daughter to go to bed I have to just turn my surround sound off so it doesn't get too loud & keep her up, other games I don't have to do this because I can adjust the sounds in game. 10. Enhance your servers so more than 16 players can be on one server at a time. Destiny just feels incredibly empty. In the tower you can see lots of other guardians but out in the wild not so much (#10 leads to #11). 11. I like the public events, but if random world bosses happened to appear ever so often, it could be amazing. This would only work though if #10 was done. 12. I, like many other people, don't care for mini games, but they do add longevity to games, especially an mmo. Lots of people have asked for Sparrow Racing, which sounds ok... What about Sparrow Tag? Where one person is "it" and 5 other players try to bump into the player that's "it" & whom ever can stay "it" the longest wins, where maybe each round is just 3 minutes long so each match is fast & fun. Rewards would include anything that's not essential, such as ghost shells, shaders, ships, etc. I'd rather have something like this than just regular old racing... but having both would just add more to the game. 13. This one I feel is incredibly important, put raid(s) into playlists, so even if you don't have a clan or enough friends to make a raid group you can still pair up w/ randoms to do the raid. Maybe take page from WoW & make the raid slightly easier or take certain parts out, so even a group of strangers could get through it w/o enough coordination. Make the rewards for completing it in this manor slightly less powerful than the raid done regularly, but still give enough light to level the characters up. I'm sure I can think of more but these were all things that's been on my mind since like day 1. If I think of more I'll add em. If anyone needs more clarification on anything listed above just ask.

                      • Open world pvp could turn off a lot of people. Think back to GTA V open world pvp, a lot of people who arent crucible junkies would get sick of getting killed when theyre just farming slme spin metal. The "safe mode" would need to be implemented making you invulnerable. And a timer would be necessary turning it on and off. Also a back story would be required to explain why the heck guardians are suddenly blasting away at each other. I really like the idea of the three factuons fighting over a planet though, that could make for an interesting story. Make it similar to Planetside 2's territorial warfare. Each faction has a starting area, and the three factions vie for control over large areas of one a planet's moons. Save the actual planet for the main story mode. Make the moon have some other strategic value, like the faction with the highest percentage of control gets a unique buff that changes monthly or weekly. Or rotate three buffs between each faction so everyone doesnt switch to their dead orbit cape as soon as they start to win. That or lock the faction you choose on a specific character, not the account as a whole.

                          They need to put clan wars back in the game like they showed in the reveal trailers. I've played many MMOs and I loved that there were different factions to join. There should've been separate "Home Hubs" for the different factions that you joined so you would be with players that made the same choice. The faction you join should've been a permanent option, which would've made making different characters a tactical choice. Also the faction should've had distinct characteristics besides the cloak/band/mark that is displayed. Possibly certain qualities that would've made each faction desirable. The faction wars should occur every week or two cycling on different planets each time with 24-32 players. The rewards should be substantial albeit I don't know what but it should provide enough incentive to have people participate in them. I bought Destiny because I saw this in the trailers because they reminded me of the MMOs I played, which were fun to participate in. Sadly I was disappointed with this game and haven't played in two weeks because it got stale.

                              Good to see such a post! This is what the forums should be all about constructive discussions and feedback that the developers can use to determine where to go next, or what to focus on to capture the immersion and attention of their players. I cannot possibly copy the contents of the following four topics here, but each one addresses an individual aspect that reaches to achieve the same goal as your general discussions here. I hope you will pop over and look at each one and then if you like them comment, bump or vote them up- if you don't we also welcome constructive criticism and comments.                             • I would love for them to just through a dlc out that starts off with breaking out of a trance, and it turns out the traveler has been manipulating our minds to do his dirty work, and than we are awoken to the real evil of the traveler, and the true original story mode bungie made would start..!! I know this is far fetched, but common that would be -blam!-in mind blowing!

                              Here's a couple of my ideas for improvements. I originally posted these and a couple of others in my feedback to Bungie, found [u][b][url=http://support.bungie.com/en-us/Forum/Post/71257543/0/0/1]here[/url][/b][/u]. Let me know what you think after reading. [u][b]Suggestions for Improvement of Destiny:[/b][/u] 1) [u]Conversations and Dialogue Choices:[/u] - Incorporation of the ability to converse with the variety of interesting characters you meet (like the Speaker, Vanguards, Cryptarch, Queen, etc), including your own Ghost - he could be the player’s source of info that explains the exposition in the Grimoire cards. It would certainly give more of a purpose to having Peter Dinklage's voice. Being able to choose from a set of dialogue choices with the characters you meet would really boost Destiny and it would let you feel more personally engaged with your character and with the game's world. The player would have more choice as to how to represent their character in the world (angry, calm, distrustful, etc.) but it would also serve the purpose of getting information without breaking the player’s immersion. I mean, for example, the Speaker's dialogue could have been, "You probably have a lot of questions Guardian. Shall I tell you of the great battle that took place centuries ago?" With a menu giving you options based on what you would like to do at that point, i.e. 'Yes', 'No' or'Tell me something else' (like how long have I been dead & how come Ghostlage over there could revive me?) You can return to the Speaker & others from time to time for more conversations and etc. To me it feels like a natural fit for Destiny. 2) [u]Quick Chat Options:[/u] - I know Bungie are working on a refined voice chat system but I’d like to see a text based quick chat system because it would be more efficient in the long run, i.e. not everyone has mics and sometimes pre-made quick chat text options are quicker when interacting with a random player. For example, when holding down the select button or up on the D-pad (whichever convenient button) a menu comes up with pre-made text such as, “Hi”, “I’m doing Strike wanna join?”, “Treasure Chest!”, “Dead Ghost”, “High level enemy”, and etc. Ace Combat Infinity’s quick chat text would be a good example to follow. The ability to set up a beacon or ‘ping’ on the map to alert other players to a location would be good. It could show up as an icon on everyone’s HUD with details like ‘Treasure Chest’ or ‘Help with Enemies.’ Also, this controller scheme image that many other forum users have suggested is quite good:  http://i.imgur.com/FSfWoZo.jpg 3) [u]Bullet Sponge Bosses:[/u] - Make the boss battles more about utilising tactics rather than finding a good cover spot and throwing bullets at them until they collapse or grow bored and say “Alright, you win. I have to pick up my kids from school.” For example, give the bosses vulnerable hard points that can only be accessed from a certain angle and they shift or shield them over a period of time so you have to keep adapting to how they move.  Or let us lower the capability of certain bosses’ main weapons by destroying them when exposed (only to have a different type of weapon take it’s place but you’ve done more damage to the boss so it’s a tactical trade-off). For example, the battle with Sekrion Prime (from such roles as ‘The Nexus’ Strike on Venus). Sekrion uses two giant cannons to clobber you with in addition to a rotating shield. Why not make it so that we can cripple his cannons if we focus enough firepower on them. Once both are down Sekrion then transforms and brings a shielded cannon into play, which you cannot destroy. It can wipe you out in one hit but it needs a 12 second charge every time it fires. More variety/stages to certain bosses equals less boredom when fighting them repeatedly. 4) [u]Ship Combat and Spaceflight:[/u] - Like with Halo: Reach or something akin to Star Wars Battlefront 2 where you could have boarding actions. For example, being ambushed by a Fallen ketch could be like a public event but in space. You dogfight with the fighters and can fly into the huge mother ship where you can get out and proceed to destroy the mother ship from the inside while other players are attacking it from the outside. All of it culminating in a timer where every human player still inside the big ship have to race to their jump ships and fly out before it explodes.  I like the ships but it would be much better if we could actually do something with them like fly them around space ala Freelancer or have a rail shooter like Star Wars The Old Republic, etc. Maybe actually have a garage space in the Tower where you can customise weapons, colours, armour or at least walk around the outside and inside of your ship before launching if you wish (ala KOTOR). Or something like a Mace Griffin style cockpit view would be awesome. To be able to stand up from behind the control yoke, walk into your in-ship armoury, look around your guns hanging on racks, then return to the cockpit & take the controls again (make the ships kind of a personal living space).  In smaller terms it would also be cool if you could make it so that we could use the left stick to do some spins and turns with our ships during the loading screens. That'd be something fun to do while killing time, especially in a group. These are but a few ideas. There’s many more out there on the forums concerning ships. Looking at the how the ships are modelled with weapon hard points and etc. I feel that you guys & girls over at Bungie already have a plan but there’s no harm in considering the majority of people’s suggestions – also there’s no harm in giving us these more interactive & flyable ships sooner rather than later :) 5) [u]Last City & Sparrow Races:[/u] - It would be great to open up the Last City below the tower into an extended social space for exploration and minigames like sparrow races. Would also be nice to be able to apply shaders to sparrows, ships and weapons – might as well get that in there.

                              • Has it not occurred to you that the reason why Bungie have not (apparently) put any of 'our' ideas in the game is that they simply have not had time. You obviously do not come from a software background, and hence have no idea just how these things take. They are also trying to firefight the many problems they already have. Have patience for cryin' out loud. I welcome any sensible comments. Nerd rage will be laughed at.

                                • Open world PvP clashes with lore. Maybe if they throw in that awesome twist and there's a separation of Guardians, we can have it, but it really just makes no sense.
