Well my original post was in regards to people's bashing of Destiny's PvP in particular.

Only thing unbalanced with it imo are certain weapons (like the Suros which Bungie has already said) being a bit too strong as well as the lag issues. If it weren't for lag problems it'd be amazing fun, but it's often enough I find it frustrating lol. Couldn't tell you how many times I just quit playing pvp because of teleporting people or delay in someone receiving damage and things. Or the people that kill you and turn around and run away then fall down dead due to a melee shot that hit them lol. By far my biggest problem is how connection quality seems to be low priority or there's some seriously overzealous lag compensation in game. I do wish they'd limit special weapon ammo a bit more, people running around with shotguns and fusions sort of defeats the idea of them being secondary type weapons, on top of the already shotgun friendly map design.

I agree completely. Bungie's primary PvP issue should be to fix Destiny's lag issues. I'm convinced that my K/D would be significantly better if my opponents would generally die when I actually kill them, not 1-3secs later when they've had a chance to get my health down enough. I also agree that special ammo should be lower. I'm fine with the effectiveness of shotties and fusions, just increase the latency between being able to use them.

I feel like my kdr would be better, but at the same time, it might not be. I would at least feel it'd be much more fair and where it should be, rather than frustratingly dying and seeing the person fall dead seconds later or shot around corners and things like that. That's what matters to me though, at least then it would be fair and as it should be, not due to bs. Fusion rifles might need a slight nerf for them, but at least reducing the frequency that you can use them basically. Make it so that you can't run around and shotgun/fusion the entire time. That would at least be a really good start, if nothing else.
