I definitely dont think raid gear should be easy to get, and I definitely dont think raid gear should just be guaranteed every run either. The system as it stands now I feel is acceptable.
I do acknowledge something feels missing with how things are going now though.. That said, as some other previous posters have mentioned, it would be nice to see a raid mark system. You should be able to use marks to buy gear. The process should take longer than other previous people mention. Say, 7-8 FULL clears would earn you enough marks for one piece of gear.
The game appeals to casuals enough as it is.. I dont want to see the best content in the game do it too.

7 or 8 clears for one piece of gear, you have got to be kidding meanwhile with the current system some people are getting full raid sets from one or two runs. Also why does everyone assume its easy to get raid gear if you had to beat the raid to receive it?
-
Because the raid isn't that hard
-
But getting the gear from it should be a choir because of it?

Everything is a chore in every game. It just depends on if you enjoy the chore.

I would enjoy the Raid a hell of a lot more if I actually received gear from it, full completion of the raid on my Warlock what 8 times now and I haven't gotten a piece of armor since my very first raid or a weapon I haven't already had since my second raid. Honestly don't really ever feel like doing the raid now, after this past Tuesday when I did it twice on my Warlock and Titan and got nothing but Ascendant Materials.

People getting it in one to two runs is definitely rare. The majority have to run it multiple times. Also, Im not saying the system is perfect. But 7-8 runs definitely sounds right to me. It should be a lengthy process. For most players (save extremely lucky people), gearing should be a lengthy process.
