I really want to play with my guardians on both console families. I have been playing Destiny so much on xbox that I would not want to start all over just to play with my other friends.

I dont think that would be an issue... The data doesnt sits with sony nor Microsoft. It sit with bungie. Only thing bungie does is validate ur id then load ur data. Transferring account information could be done over an browser client.
