So i dont know if someone answered this already but you can get iron banner amor to lvl up 30 instead of raid gear?? for example you need raid gear to go lvl 30.

No you still have to do the raid to get at least one piece. The system works like this. All raid gear has higher light levels than other legendary's, but exotics match the light level of a raid gear set. To reach level 30, you need to have all 4 raid pieces or 3 raid pieces and an exotic. Keep in mind the only way to get the raid helmet is to beat Atheon on hard mode, and even then it is not guaranteed. Now, to reach level 30 with the iron banner gear, the iron banner gear is still only selling 2 pieces of light equivalent Armour, matching that of the raid. Since they are only selling gear for 2 slots, and you would need an exotic in place of another piece of raid gear, you will still need one of the raid gear pieces if you wish to hit level 30, and yes, every piece of gear that has a raid light equivalent must be upgraded fully to reach level 30.

This is a little false. As of what they just said in this update (which you apparently didn't read very well) is that they will be selling 4 not just 2. Which to be honest makes sense because if people just want to play pvp they have a way to get to 30 without having to go through raid after raid. I play both more pve than pvp but it's about balance.

Regardless of how many they sell, its only AVAILABLE in 2 slots, and if you read my statement, that is not enough to get to 30. Get your facts straight, and read thoroughly through the whole statement, before correcting anyone.

Actually I didn't say anything about equipping gear. I just said 4 will be available to get. So technically we would both be correct. I know you can only equip 2 I read it through an through.

Yeah I know what ya mean there. I got the same set of boots twice on a single raid. Sucks sometimes, even worse now that they fixed the final boss too.

Has that patch come out yet? Been waiting for it. Cant wait to fight the boss normally again.

Not sure actually, I'm just guessing it has. Kinda lame when people want you to joint just cuz your a Voidwalker for that. But if they have been doing the fight for over 2 hours and just wanna get it done it's alright. I'm just waiting for the next two raids to come. Everything has been too repetitive lately.

I feel you. Thats why I have made 1 of each character. ATM have 1 level 30 and 2 level 28's. Running out of things to upgrade since I use the same weapons.

So that doesn't help lol I have yet to make a titan, I know I will eventually but an upfront character really isn't my type. I usually am a magic type player in RPGs but even the warlock isn't all that "magicy"

And I quote again, "In the next Iron Banner, the weapon types available will go from two to four, divided between drops on match victory, and purchase from Lord Saladin in the Tower."

Until the next Iron Banner the only way to get to level 30 is with Raid gear. However, even after the Iron Banner you will still have to have Raid gear to get to level 30. All of your armor has to be at +30 Light to hit level 30 and with the next Iron Banner you can have the following equipment: 1 Exotic (+30) & 2 Iron Banner (+60) armor items equipped at once. You will still be short 30 Light. So, you have to have at least one piece of Raid gear now instead of three.

Making the raid pointless now, yes that's what they did. Well they saved me 9 or more hours of gameplay after hearing that.

Not necessarily, sure either can get you to 30. But now you gotta get one that has stats to your liking, discipline, strength, auto rifle reloads etc

You actually still need 1 rai gear cuz u will only be allowed to equip 2 iron banner armours at a time.

When i play no one is on or ready for a raid. That meant capping out early. At least this way i can get to an higher level now.
