Spirit Bloom chest doesn't prevent the other chests from spawning is all I have to say.

Have gotten 5 chests on last 6 runs & spirit bloom chest doesn't make a damn bit of difference. Only thing different about that chest is that it will despawn once it is open so some may miss it

Edited by LegendarySyn: 10/25/2014 6:52:15 AMWe just tested this and it does not. We stopped the templar from teleporting and opened the spiritbloom chest on the way by, and still got all 3 chests after it and before the jump 'puzzle'. (Meaning we opened 5 chests.)

My group had a flawless run up to that point, opened the spirit bloom chest, and still got the next 3 chests as expected. This has been reproduced time and time again. You can watch it on youtube, twitch, etc. The fact remains that your team either didn't know where to look for that chest or made a mistake that caused the chest not to be there (teleporting templar). The spirit bloom chest is not now, nor has it ever been a factor in the chests that follow.

The game didn't bug out and omit a chest, that's just stupid. And I'm not the -blam!-ing fool here. I'm not the one who can't raid well enough to get that chest and who keeps coming back to this forum to insist it was the game and not you who screwed up. I'm glad to see you're now trying to blame the game and not the spirit bloom chest though, that progress. There could be other factors, as I've said. For example, letting a vex sacrifice or missing an oracle. Seriously though, grow up. Swearing at me and going all keyboard warrior on me because your idea about the spirit bloom chest has been debunked repeatedly is just childish. The simple, black and white fact is that your group did something wrong and didn't get that chest because of it. You now know that what you did wrong was not the spirit bloom chest, so go back in and try again until you get it.

The spirit bloom chest is not a factor ( for that one chest directly below it through the cave passage, anyway, don't know about others) but I can confirm that sometimes this chest simply doesn't spawn, even after pushing the Templar off. Don't tell me we did it wrong or don't know where it is because we do it the same way every time and definitely know where the chest is (read: down the secret cave passage to the area just before dropping into the first Labyrinth chest, where you have to crouch through a tiny hole in the rock and come to a very small room with a broken Vex gate). Its sometimes just not there. But its only shards\energy so not a huge loss.

I had one person in my raid team yesterday swear it had disappeared right in front of him while he was waiting for the rest of his fire team to find their way to it and open it. I've never had that happen. 100% of the time when we've stopped the templar from teleporting and opened the spirit bloom chest, the chest in question has been there. That being said, the point of this comment sub-thread was to inform this particular person that his idea that the spirit bloom chest was to blame was incorrect. Beyond that, it's up to each group to do their own testing to see what other factor may cause the chest to not be there. We know the spirit bloom chest isn't a factor and we know that if you let the templar teleport the chest will not spawn, and I've said repeatedly those may not be the only factors.

Thanks for reminding me what the point of this discussion was, I had quite forgotten because I am, you see, a half-retarded wombat. Anyway, I rule out oracles and conflux sacrifices as factors for this particular chest as in the most recent case of absent-chest syndrome I experienced, some vex did sacrifice but we were never marked by oracles. In previous runs the opposite has been true or any point of variance in between (no sac's/no marks, or sac's and marked) and in all instances the chest spawned as normal. Although on this particular run after knocking the Templar off we did stand in a circle and dance for 10 minutes....oh no wait we obviously ran right down to the chest and the first person there was quick to regale our fire team with a resounding "dafuq?". I say again, the Avs will win the Stanley Cup this year...or, wait, no...this chest sometimes doesn't spawn.

We open the spirit bloom chest every time. I've never seen a chest not spawn unless we allow the Templar to teleport.
