For one The Vex CANT be human because of what Dinklebot says along the lines of "vex are organic, but nothing ive ever seen on record". And don't say that we evolve/change ourselves SO much that there is NO trace of our former self. The other races COULD be, but then the same problem arises. Why is there no trace of human in them? Surely DNA of every species encountered has been examined by a simple Ghost scan or leftover traces that a scientist gets their hands on. You also say that the Traveler HAS to bring the failed versions of humanity with it to the past. Why? There is nothing that would suggest this, and it just doesn't make logical sense. If I was trying to fix my failed creation, I would NOT bring all the failed versions with me back. Especially when time traveling.
