You guys are SUCH annoyingly freaking pricks. Iron Banner was set up goofy, you complained. Bungee heard and is giving you feedback on how its going to be different, what you all wanted it to be, and thats, thats not good enough. You bombard them with 100 new complaints. Your all abunch of 2 year olds, this generation is just going straight to the pisser. Its called patience! Bungee says they still are testing, it'll be out soon! Yes they have made past addresses of things to change. Be reasonable. Its got to be hard to: fix bugs, address the community, fix events, test events, create events, test those events, fix those bugs, work on new dlc, test dlc, fix bugs, address community, balance weapons, fix bugs. When you got problems but no immediate solution, its annoying as hell. Are you apart of the bungee team? Have you created a game 3.2 million people play, thats unique? No? Then learn patience. There's tons of things I want to see done. But until then, I play with what I got. Going on 2 months they have addressed so many problems and have always responded favorable to the community.. this is still a fresh game.

  • Actually, you're not entirely correct, but thanks for throwing a blanket over the community. Some people enjoy PvP, that's great. Bungie did an excellent job of addressing some rather large glaring failures for the iron Banner event, that is also great. The negative commentary for this update didn't have much to do with what it said but rather what it didn't say. If you've been anywhere near the forums in between your Crucible matches PvP isn't the hottest topic of concern. Connection issues and lack of PvE content or attention have left a large amount of their audience out in the cold with no tangible response from Bungie. Of course the PvE community is upset, we're feeling ignored. I am not interested in PvP. If they had wanted to publish a PvP focused title then perhaps they should have done so. They didn't. The game was advertised as a game where you could play in a large immersive world with friends. While it has great potential to be what they intended it fell short in a lot of key areas. The PvE community has been shouting about those shortcomings since launch and as yet we've received nothing but a cold shoulder from Bungie. Not only is this frustrating but it isn't a very smart business model. At this point, if Bungie is only going to serve the PvP crowd then why don't they just dumb down the title and make it a series of matchmaking and PvP map DLC? That way, I could put my money to something else instead of feeling ignored.

  • It's not about being "needy", it's about requesting that they meet their own stated intentions. I don't know if you're typing with one finger while holding something but what you typed doesn't make a lot of sense: The game has PvE in it, that's what the campaign is. However, it's horribly weak for a AAA title. I've played games in Beta that did a better job of telling a story. It's made worse because it feels like there were plot points that should have been there that are now gone. For example, cut scenes played in teasers that are no where to be seen in the final game release. Etc. The point being made wasn't that it lacked PvE but that the PvE itself is lacking particularly at this price point. This game feels like window dressing for a new PvP cash-cow at this point and those of us who are focused on the cooperative campaign experience we were told we were getting only want clarification on what's going on. I'm sure the DLC will clear a lot of things up but should it need to? Considering the budget for this title and the amount of time it spent in development I expected more. If I could have gotten the complete experience they eluded to in the game trailers leading to launch by paying a higher price (eventually, game prices will go up because of development costs) then I would have. If they had to release it in chunks to keep prices down then tell me that PRIOR to the purchase so that my expectations aren't unreasonably high (which apparently, because of their ad hype, they were). Please, for the love of literacy, could you at least make some attempt at making a complete point instead of typing in sound bites?

  • Wee getting like 6 short missions and a "raid". Hardly worth the money when every other mmo expansion could be a stand alone game

  • Absolutely! Your comment could not have addressed the issues the pve community have been irate over any better. I too was drawn in by their claim of a completely immersed world meant to be cooperatively enjoyed by my friends and I. If all I wanted was a stand alone pvp fps I would have taken my money and time else where.

  • You're right. My argument is completely towards pvp. That being said, it furthers my point of how much stuff they have to work on. And to be honest, im on the forums all the time when im at work, and I see most posts about xur, maybe im oblivious to pve complaint posts. I was just hoping dlc would add alot to pve.

  • Check the Help forum. That is where people are trying to address the connection issues. Bungie has posted some decent information on a specific thread for this and it's clear they're working on it. I've posted about a character removal, not a deletion. I logged on and it was just gone. Several other people have posted about his as well without so much as a peep from Bungie. They'll comment on the "I deleted my character on purpose, can I have it back" threads but not on the threads where it looks like there is a problem with the save data on their end.

  • I too hope that the DLC will address at least some of these concerns. However, Bungie hasn't exactly been forthcoming with why they would release a game that is technically very weak in story content, even for a chapter one. It's particularly strange considering their past experience in producing games with fairly rich content even when it's known to be one part of a series. It feels and appears to be content that was intentionally removed for the sake of making more money on DLC. That is infuriating especially if that is the explanation for the thin story and large gaps of content. The areas that can be glitched into are potential evidence of this. In absence of information lives speculation. If all that is aloud to flourish is rumor then they're just as responsible for what that creates. Bungie should come out with some descriptive information on the available DLC. Nothing too descriptive, we actually do love surprises, but at least some gap filler that make it feel less like we are paying for something twice. There are some unanswered questions that if answered would go a long way towards settling the apprehension. Time after time we get updates on PvP. Nothing about PvE or the story. We know it is thin and lacks variety, I'd like for them to tell us why and what is coming to change that.

  • Poor logic. That's along time, yes, but you don't know what goes on behind scenes. You can't expect a game to be flawless just because they worked on it for awhile. You got to assume they encountered terrible problems after launch. Think about it, Halo is such a success and theyve had years of experience with that. Yet theyre still finding things with Destiny. Must be new issues.

  • glad you have allowed companies to ram half ass games up your ass for x amount of yrs to make this type of shit acceptable. Loved when games used to ship done and working.. Tired of days of having to buy dlcs to get content that should of came with the game. About stop buying new games all together and go to ebay and buy ps1 and older games for a fun experience not a shit one

Yup, that is what some members of the gaming community are starting to be concerned about. It appears that developers are releasing full price titles that are nothing more than a bait and switch for the DLC needed to have a complete experience. For $60 to $70 we should be getting a complete experience even absent of the DLC. The DLC can add to the existing content (like 343 did with the Spartan Ops for Halo 4) but it shouldn't be an absolute necessity to make sense of the main title it's supposed to supplement.

  • Lol okay. Like I said, theres lots of things id like to see done. Keep in mind that ps1 games were focused on story.. they didn't have to worry about anything online related. That's how all these games are released now.. thats whats great about it being online, they can always apply updates and dlc. Destiny has major flaws and the longer I play the more I see. But it brings my friends and I together, and for that ill keep playing. If I had 0 friends, I would be done with this game.
