Buy Suros Regime or wait for Atheon's Epilogue?
I need some help. I love Auto Rifles and want Atheon's Epilogue for the Void damage, but I also keep hearing that Suros Regime is perhaps the best Auto Rifle in PVP (not sure about PVE). I'm mostly a PVE player, so what do?

Get both! AE is good for vog and when void burn skull is active. I just got a suros and it's fun to play with. I like my ae, but voc replaced that after the buff/nerf

1 ReplyI got both. They are different beasts. These are my impressions of both which you should consider fits your style. The atheon is a full auto rifle with base of 70 shots. When fully upgraded it shoots a lot of bullets (up to 90) but low impact. It still shoots like an auto and can be fired in burst shots. Their is recoil even with stability upgrade. The void damage is nice for strikes with a heroic modifier for void damage And VoG. The high rate of fire and number of bullets make up for the low impact but it still feels weak at times. I've heard people compare it to dr nope but with void damage but of course it's not the same. Suros is initially a full auto with base of 33 shots. If you upgrade it becomes a hybrid of scout rifle and auto rifle as rate of fire drops but damage goes up. With the stagger perk it can be a beast in PVE. Like the Archon Priest mission, you can easily headshot him and keep him staggered until you reload. I like the suros because it is great for medium range and can be accurate with zoom and for close range you can unload with automatic feature. I think the suros is more versatile than atheon. Overall I like both but if I had to pick one I would go suros. It's guaranteed you get it now and hope to get atheon. If you pass on suros then you will not have a rifle and still hope to get atheon.

If it is a question about those two, definitely Suros. I find Epilogue to have one of the worst impacts of any gun. It is like shooting toothpicks at enemies. It is fine for taking out void shields and an occasion Minotaur but even just trying to kill Vandals it is pointless. I would say Suros or Vision of Confluence. I used to use nothing but the Suros, that was until I got Vision, now, that is the only gun I use now pretty much. Having an element on a primary weapon is a god send. It fires about the same as a Suros with the automatic fire and since it is a Scout rifle, it gets an added bonus.

Definitely buy the Suros, AE has massive massive.recoil and low impact which makes it bad for Pvp AE is amazing in pve especially VOG because it will tear through Praetorians and you become a strong asset to the team I'd recommend AE only for VOG, then Suros for all other purposes

Yes it has more than 70 bullets at a time before reloading but u will be just shooting to get the health low. On the other hand Suros only has 33 bullets and it has a max stability and u can increase its range too. U get way more head shots with Suros and it can also give u some health back.

Better stability, better damage model, and to top it all off, it looks sleek and sexy. [u]However[/u], Atheon's Epilogue is far better for raiding. The Anti-Oracle ability is incredibly helpful in the raid. [i]Nostalgia as a weapon of war. Style as a hallmark of victory.[/i]

3 RepliesThe suros is getting a stability nerf so that it won't be dominant. So throw that into your bucket of what it's as well.
