The moon doesn't have reduced gravity neither does Mars.

  • mars is relatively the same size as earth so gravitational difference would not be as noticeable

  • The moon has one third gravity..

  • You're thinking of Venus. Mars is about one half the size of the Earth.

  • You could argue the suite changes how we react with gravity. I mean Glimmer is programmable matter I'm sure manipulating local gravity is doable.

  • Mindblown if they actually thought about changing mass within different planets.

I would assume it has more to do with the suite reacting to the mass of the planet. If anything the hive hollowing it out would reduce it's mass and gravity if that material is taken off the planet. I was thinking more along the lines that your armor keeps you at an artificial earth gravity regardless of your actual gravity on that planet. This makes sense because humans don't react well to lower or higher than normal gravity over extended periods of time. So keeping a human perpetually at earths gravity means they would have no adverse side effects from being their for long periods of time. Similar to why we pressurize cockpits and submarines. I love science. Now if only we could explain how it dose that.

  • That would be amazing if that explanation existed in the games. Heck, at this point I'd be happy if it were explained in a grimoire card.

  • Yeah, that sounds amazing but I doubt that's what they thought of. As for the explanation, the only thing that I can think of is that the suit adjusts it's weight to match that of the Earth, much like electronic weights. But what happens when you go to Saturn o_o

  • Oh I'm just theorizing why the suite would do this. they clearly did it to keep a uniform play-style in each zone. Lowered or agusted gravity in each zone would be cool for a while but you wouldn't ever get a feel for "normal gravity" unless you solely played on earth and in multi-player it would be annoying to change the physics of the grenades and other weapons constantly while trying to master them.
