So for many of us who want crucible marks but do not enjoy the ridiculous grind of the crucible are sentenced to a lifetime of farming spinmetal, relic iron, helium filaments, and spirit bloom???? come on now! vanguard marks are a cake walk and can max out in a day, and atleast offer a wide variety of things to do to earn them, ie many different strikes or public events that keep your attention. I want to enjoy the game and not spends hours upon hours running in circles for materials. It is absolutely ridiculous. not to mention with a win in crucible you only get 3, that's a disaster. I don't know what the answer for this issue looks like but at minimum change the award for a win to 5 and a loss to 3. I can handle that.
doing the math here with a 60% win rate and earning 5 for each match and 3 for the losses you would have to play 25 matchs. that's respectable.
60% win rate earning a measly 3 and earn 2 for the losses that's 40 matchs!!!
that's a difference of 15 matchs and running 15 mins a piece...bungie I would not get that nearly 4 hours of my life back!!!
aint nobody got time for dat.
Again I may not have the answer but like all the fellow guardians I can find the problems :):):)
Thanks!
EDIT: appreciate all kinds of feedback guardians and hope the powers that be read the post and it gets some traction to help improve the Destiny experience for all!!!

Seriously why can't you use vanguard marks to purchase faction gear when you are earning faction reputation with vanguard bounties and missions. Different people want different experiences from Destiny, and not everyone is down for a rehashing of COD. Make all gear available for purchase for both PVPers and PVEers so we can have a diverse population of guardians with different gear.

Remove the cap, and create one currency
-
I see where you are getting at but f you want a boost in crucible marks do the bounties man.
-
You want the PvP Marks, but you don't want to PvP? Good Gods it's another "whaaa i haz to make efforts" thread... Perhaps you should stick to Vanguard Marks? Either way, please do stop whining.
-
Game is broken buddy. Design flawed in multiple ways. I just hope they realize
-
You're*
-
I can hit the crucible cap or the vanguard cap in a single day and left with nothing else meaningful to do for the rest of the week
-
There needs to be a faster way to get a rep. gain than bounties
-
Personally. I thInk. Your score. Should factor. And rumble should be more rewarding.
-
100 marks max per week and 200 max in your inventory is absurd. Need to either remove the limit or make it higher. I tell ya what though if I reach my max playing crucible and vanguard I start finding little reason to even play destiny anymore. They are convince me not to play til I can earn more or I stat to feel I am wasting my time with the game.
-
I think they should just bump it up to 3 marks for a loss and 6 for a win. 3 marks for a win is -blam!-ing weak.
-
I only like playing the crucible. Please fix the fact that I can't earn vanguard marks and raid gear while never running strikes.
-
I just realized the likely logic for cruc marks for faction armor but not vanguard, and thats the best weapons and armor in the game are obtained thru pve, to compensate, pvpers get a wider range of armor options via factions.
-
Easy fix. It should be a 2 to 1 swap to switch between crucible marks and vanguard marks with a 250 glimmer surcharge. Meaning you can max vanguard marks and swap them to 50 crucible marks, or vice versa, for 12,500 glimmer. I'd say that's fair?
-
another possible solution.. provide faction marks for completing the patrol missions for a specific faction mission.. if dead orbit says we need a scan and you complete it.. you get a couple marks if you are wearing the dead orbit marker.. if not then you don't.. the xp is always going to the faction you wear your marker for.. it could make it more interesting to look for and search out specific patrol missions too.

I would rather keep farming spinmetal for 2 to 3 hours a day to get whatever gear i would require then have to play crucible...
-
Soo you want to get crucible marks, but you dont want to play crucible?... Is this for real???
-
Honestly just play crucible dude. It's not that nearly as bad as the people on this forum make it seem. Obviously you won't just do well right off the bat but you notice improvements and it becomes enormously satisfying. It's also a great way to get more bounties and level up gear faster.
-
I'm still trying to wrap my head around why they even set up two types of marks in the first place...
-
Crucible marks should award crucible gear, which is good for pvp but bad for pve. When I first saw the faction vendors on my first day in game, I had assumed that was the case. Not that they sold gear that was an alternate to the vanguard gear. Bungie missed the mark on that. I'd also assumed that the factions were at odds with each other and that's why they were involved with pvp. Seems my assumptions/previous experience/imagination had a better idea in mind than Bungie. Well, Bungie might have had that planned before someone Steve Jobsed the game. ~ P.S. My Steve reference is to his constant need for simplistic perfection, killing many great things along the way. I'm not ragging on the man or Apple, just his management style.

I agree that there should be more ways to get crucible marks but farming materials is a crappy part of ALL mmo and rpgs. Literally.
-
Do 10 matches a day and your done in 4 days. Also your math is off for match time. Max for a match is 12 minutes and most last 8-10 minutes. Even if the matchmaking takes 2 minutes (I find it generally takes 30-60 seconds for a new group; or less if you stay in the queue after a match) you're at less than 15 minutes per match. Now I do feel that the points are needlessly low, but your math for match length is off.
-
thats mmos pal. but they could give us some other option enemy mat drops or event rewards.
-
Unfortunately you are grinding just like everyone else is. That is Destiny, plain and simple. Bungie will not change this. Once the game is no longer fun to you friend, I suggest you should go play something else. I don't mean anything negative towards you in any way. I really think people should move on as soon as they get bored so maybe Bungie will do something to keep their current and future customers happy.

I max my crucible reps every week just doing the Bounty's everyday...
