Grimoire score is a huge factor. In my opinion if you have less than 2k grimoire and you have a mythoclast you probably did some cheesing.

Grimoire score is no reflection of ability in the Vault of Glass. All grimoire tells you is how much of the game a player has been exposed to or experienced.

Which usually translates to how well they know the game.
