It was originally going to be PS4 exclusive, then next gen exclusive, then (after selling their souls to Activision) they decided it would be most profitable if it was to come out for PS3 and Xbox-360 too.
So what was once an awesome next-gen game got retooled to run on the older systems.
That and the lead writer quitting cause he was pissed about Activision wanting to chop his story up to sell it to us in pieces.
So we end up with what we have today more or less because money is lame, and makes people do silly things to get more of it.

No it was going to be an xbox exclusive did you even read the old contract?

Edited by Toketotem: 10/23/2014 7:13:36 AMPure speculation on my part from stuff I heard at E3 , and other expos. they used the phrase "Built from the ground up for the PS4" at E3 when I was there. That's the only reason I own a PS4, and it honestly kind of irks me, I would have an Xbone if I didn't think it was only going to be a Ps4 title :( Idk about contracts or anything, just stuff I picked up following the game in development.
