The gun I want more than any other
I really do want the Patience and Time more than any other gun in this entire game. Since the Thursday after Destiny's launch day I have wanted this gun. I played crucible so much the first week trying to get this gun. (That is where the guy told me he got it) I will admit I have a pretty big collection of exotic gear but the way this has been happening is ridiculous.
First time RNG shot me in the face
-Playing VoG and friend opened left gorgon chest: "Patience and Time" My chest: Ascendant energy -_-
Second Time
- Helped level 25 and 27 through Archon Priest Nightfall: Both of their rewards: "Patience and Time"
Third Time
- This week VoG playing with same crew as last time, left gorgon chest: One gets "Red Death" (which I have) The other gets "Patience and Time"
Worst Part: None of them even wanted it! The low levels had no idea what EXOTICS were! The other two don't even like sniping.
Don't get me wrong, this is not a sob story. This is the tale of my misfortune. I am very satisfied with my current collection of exotics, I just think it is very, very ridiculous that now a total of 8 people on my friends that I play with daily have the gun I want and 6 of them didn't want it or don't like to snipe.

I have P&T and use it on my hunter. It is extremely accurate, has incredible stability, and decent damage, but its ivisibility upgrade is not what i expected. Overall i'd give it an 8/10. Tbh i prefer the ice breaker because of higher damage and regenerating ammo

3 RepliesDon't know much about P&T other than it grants invisibility which Hunters get anyway. But the Icebreaker was one I bought from Xur just for the hell of it and let me tell you. That gun has grown on me a lot. When all of my friends were scrounging for ammo (especially during this weeks Nightfall), I would just sit back and relax while the magazine refilled and then calmly returned to shooting Phogoth. Icebreaker was the gun I never expected to love.

1 ReplyI'm on the opposite end of the spectrum. I have two friends that I play with constantly; one is a warlock, the other a hunter. I got mask of the third man, the last word, and patience and time; all things my hunter friend wants desperately. I also have heart of praxis fire, and skull of dire ahamkara; both things my warlock friend wants desperately. (I play a Titan but have since made a hunter and a warlock. ;) ) Lets just say they are more than a little upset with me; and have vowed to get universal remote and plan C (the only exotics [b]I[/b] want) before I do. And they plan to flaunt them all the time.

I felt the same as you. When I learned about this gun, I knew I wanted it. Talked about it for days with my current raiding buddies. I leveled Cryptarch to level 12-14 about the second week after buying the Sunbreakers. Cryptarch sent me a legendary engram for a secondary weapon. Then I saw in those glorious yellow letters pop up "Patience and Time." I can't tell you how loud I screamed those words in my friends ears through party chat. None of them believed me till I equipped it and they inspected me. These days I don't use it like I once did. It's a good gun but I find other guns to be more useful. It's still a very special weapon to me being my first exotic weapon. (Funny thing is, the very next day I got another purple engram as a random drop in a strike and yup, another Patience and Time that I dismantled. Keep in mind this is when Cryptarch was a jerk!)

5 RepliesGot one from a purple engram. Got one from going last in crucible. Got my first one from the first nightfall I ever did. After buying ice breaker, i dismantled all three of them though.
