Destiny shouldn't even have a PvP side, so no; I don't believe that I would ever support this idea.

  • There's no reason for PvP to ruin your PvE experience. All they need is one area on a planet, seperate from patrol, where players can gather resources, fight enemies, and kill each other while representing their respective faction. Really I just want it so I can play without worrying about my team's score, and so I don't have to play on the same 6 maps over and over and over again. I'm not saying you have to like PvP, I love it, but my frustration level goes through the roof every time I play it. That said your approach is extremely close minded and counterproductive. Just because you don't like it does not mean that it is not just as important as PvE as far as game mechanic and play structure.

  • PvP is what keeps the game alive.. Destiny would be nothing without PvP, and I bet you said that cause you're bad at PvP, am I right?

  • Or it could be that I just don't like PvP in any game anymore. But people having an opinion different than yours is probably an alien concept to you...

  • It would be way less succesful if PvP wouldn't have been in it, most people today wants to compete and got the game for PvP, including myself, if a game has a decent story that's nice but PvP is always the thing that makes me buy a game, many people got this because it's Bungie's game and a lot of people loves Halo's PvP and that's why a big part got this game. PvP also have a longer lifetime and requires less content, in PvE the enemies act all the same all the time, in PvP you need to play differently depending on how your opponents play. An example: I would get tired of repeating the same mission 2 times, just 2 times, how ever I can play PvP for hours without getting bored. PvP rules.

  • That's what makes being someone who's not you, fun. I have fun repeating the same story missions, Strikes, and just wandering. But personally i find the grind of the Crucible boring as hell. BTW; PvP does not have a longer lifespan than solid PvE. Skyrim, Morrowind, WoW, LotRO, RIFT, all would disagree with you, and any PvP that they may have is a withered husk compared to the PvE community. PvP comes and goes as the wind changes, PvE keeps enduring.

  • Uhm no, PvP has a way longer lifespan than PvE cause more people rather play PvP over and over again than PvE, just ask the WHOLE gaming community. It's obivous that more people like to compete against other players than against some bots cause it requires more skill than PvE

  • How come? I meen 50% of the game right now is PvP? Dont see where it says: "Destiny Shouldn´t even have a PvP side" - I my self love the PvP and if you have played erlier games from both Activision and Bungie you see that their previous games are almost ALL PVP GAMES. So all you PvP haters bought the wrong game from the wrong creators. TO BAD

  • Please don't misunderstand me. I don't have anything against people who love PvP. My personal opinion is that it's crap. I simply don't enjoy PvP anymore in any game, not just referring to Destiny. But at the same time, I do not in any way think that PvP should be allowed to encroach into the PvE side. As you said, game is split 50/50 between the PvE and PvP sides. Adding in PvP into the Patrol areas would very much upset that balance. I don't need to be happily farming Relic Iron and start taking sniper fire from some d-bag 12-year-old who's 300 yards out and giggling his ass off. That doesn't sound fun to me at all. No, PvP and PvE should remain separated as they are now. As far as my post goes; I think Destiny would work much better as a pure PvE RPG/MMO game. In my opinion, I don't think it even needs a PvP side to be successful.

  • Here is my idea that benefits both sides when selecting a patrol mission you can select to enable pvp or not that way it wont encroach on your pve experience. Btw I played wow for pvp not pve so that is not a particularly good example for your case

  • PVP has it's place and I do like the Open World PVP idea, however, it should have the ability to be turned on and off during Orbit.
